This is a cute little fridge with surprising generous freezer space, the drawback is the refrigerator space is very limited. It will fit a 6 pack of Pepsi, a few apples or oranges and some eggs inside the door, and maybe your leftover takeout and that's about it. Forget about space for any condiments! It has a lot of storage and came in perfect condition. It fits almost an entire months worth of my food in it. It has changeable shelves to make more room, you could remove a shelf or two. It's also super handy that the freezer is separate from the fridge compartment. Also, it's silent. It's makes no noise and keeps everything fresh and cool as intended. The freezer compartment is a nice size. Both get really cold when turned all of the way up. The compartments appear to be evenly cooled. Perfect for keeping drinks cold in my office. The media could not be loaded. We removed the fridge from box and plugged in. Unit makes a horrible noise. Opened doors to find the door trays cracked and broke. Requested return of item and was told we have to pay for the return. What??? It is defective! Plus the inconvenience of having to repackage and haul to the post office and hope they will ship it!! What?? This is completely unacceptable. This was not a cheap mini fridge. I expected a much better product and much better customer service ... show more

We have a very large and very old refrigerator/freezer (full size) in our garage and all we store in it is water and gatorade. That's it. I'm sure that thing is an electricity hog, so I'm happy to be able to get rid of it now that we have this compact refrigerator. This is a basic dorm 'fridge like we all had in college, except it has a separate door for the freezer section - which is significantly more efficient than those metal compartments they had years ago that were inside the refrigerator section, and iced up so thick you couldn't even fit a popsicle in them. But I digress, because this refrigerator/freezer combo has none of those issues! It has a crisper drawer and an egg shelf in the door (actually both shelves have little indentation holes to hold eggs, but you could also put other things there). The temperature is controlled with a knob inside the unit, and it does have feet on the bottom that can be adjusted to make it balance properly. It meets our needs perfectly - plenty of room for water and gatorade, and the occasional box of ice cream if we need some overflow from our kitchen. It is quiet and definitely more energy efficient than our 24-year-old beast that will be shown the door on the next trash day. ... show more

At the time of this review, this item was priced at $239.99. Our family refrigerator 15 cu ft has served us well. But now that the children are gone its time to downsize. Moreover, PSE offered a $25 incentive to recycle/replace our old refrigerator. I conduct a trial test to answer the question "Can we live with a smaller refrigerator?" I unboxed my vintage 1990 dorm refrigerator (2 cu ft) from the garage. To my surprise it still works. However, the freezer wouldn't keep anything frozen. Solid frozen Ice cream would melt witin 3 hours. I ordered this item based on the refrigerator capacity of 3.2 cu ft. the dimensions - 16"x16"x35". The package arrive undamaged; however, the refrigerator door would NOT remain closed. Upon further examination I noticed the bottom hinge was bent (see picture). I also notice some residue on rhe bottom. I wanted to continue my evaluation, so I used a secure strap to keep the door close. I setup the refrigerator in a bedroom (10'x15') to evaluate the noise. After several hours of use I determine the thermostat set at 4 achieves the perfect balance of freezer/refrigerator temperature and power consumption. I inserted a temperature probe in both freezer and refrigerator compartments. Results: After 29 minutes the temperature of the freezer compartment was 0.4 °F and temperature of the refrigerator compartment was 37.6 °F. Also the compressor turned OFF. I placed the small ice tray in the freezer and it took 55 minutes to turn into ice cubes. Overall the refrigerator performed well. A soft humming sound can be heard when the compressor is ON, but is tolerable. Both refrigerator and freezer compartments achieved optimal temperature as suggested by the FDA. However, similar 3.2 cu ft refrigerators are priced under $180. Remove 1 🌟 for higher price. I'm unable to give this 4 🌟 because of the refrigerator door issue. I will contact the company to see if a replacement hinge can be shipped. For now, I award 3 🌟. I will revise my rating if warranted. ... show more
