  • Thank You Reveiwers
Color Name: One
My husband was quite frustrated with this product. Could not get the wiring straight, even tried to rewire the opener unit. Said the instructions were pretty sparse. I read several reviews to find out the wiring needed reversed. Success. Working replacement for our 20-year-old Craftsman opener. The sensors were dirty, and one was taped up and had a bad solder. Thank you, reviewers. ... show more

  • Reversed wires, otherwise a quick replacement.
Color Name: One
4 stars because the instructions are not good and the wires need to be reversed. Other than those two issues, they installed quickly(replacement). They come with push-button wire connectors, but I didn't use them because my experience in model railroading has taught me they are fickle at best, especially in humid conditions. The pigtails on the sensors are short (3ft) so you will be splicing them in to the old wires. When splicing, due to a design flaw, the black white will go to the white wire and vice versa (they should ight up). ... show more

  • Short wires
Color Name: One
Easy to install but don't get too froggy when removing the old sensors, the wires on the new ones are only like 3 feet long so you need to splice them into the old wires. They give you the splices with the kit. Also found that I had to flip the wires at the opener to get them to light up. If you have them correct the yellow light on the transmitter lights right away. ... show more

  • Had to REVERSE the WIRES
Color Name: One
These are replacing damaged sensors so my wiring is already in the wall. After installing the new brackets and sensors, I connected the wires to the same colors as previous, but the system wouldn't work. Went back to the reviews and saw that several people had to reverse the wire colors -- and then it worked. Try that before sending the items back. Simple solution but WHY is the polarity reversed? Seems like a quality control problem that causes us time and frustration... ... show more

  • Terrible directions but it worked
Color Name: One
The directions had me connecting the wrong wires. Once I swapped the wires they worked great

  • Good price, quick shipping... had to reverse black and white wires
Color Name: One
I have a LiftMaster Security+ 2.0 (from 2018) that I bought these for. One would think that the white wire from the sensor would go to the white connector block, and the white/black would go to the black connector. Couldn't get it to work. Sensor LEDs would not illuminate. Checked with a volt meter and everything. After over an hour of checking my wiring and connections... I tried the most obvious thing: flipped white and black. Lo and behold! Sensors came on. User error, I supposed. Like others have said, the wire pigtails on these are VERY short (like 3 feet). They are intended to replace existing sensors. If you don't have them (like me), you will have to order some bell wire to go from the garage opener to where you end up mounting these sensors. If you ARE replacing existing ones, get yourself the cheaper kit (without the brackets). Saw it here for about $16 bucks. Overall... exactly what I needed. ... show more

  • Didn't work for me
Color Name: Two
I have a legacy marked '97. I installed - needed to switch polarity as other had mentioned (800mv if installed backwards, 12v across terminals if OK). Lights indicated proper function (amber always on, green on if unobstructed). But regardless, my door would act as if something was blocking it. Went back to old sensors and it worked fine. 4 stars because it looked like a good product, -1 because it didn't work for me and if it had, I would have needed to find a way to make the brackets more stable ... show more

  • Works Great!! Fast shippingws
Color Name: One
Thanks to all the reviews mentioning that the wires need to be reversed when installed, spot on. Door was not closing when daylight hit the old sensors. They were cleaned and adjusted but still did not work. The new ones work perfectly!!!
