Well packaged and came with instructions. I just wished I followed them exactly. I took out the 2 bolts on each corner. I should've left the bolt while drilling and cutting the plastic. My drill bit slipped inside the thread and stripped it. Oh No! I had to rethread with a Helio rethread kit from Amazon which did the trick. The end result are two crossbars that fit perfectly, snugly and solid. The finish perfectly matches the side results. The only thing that wasn't stellar, is that the hardware is too short for mounting the brackets to the car. I bought 8 M6 - 35 screws, used removable, high-strength locktite and also a bead of clear silicone around the brackets. They're not going anywhere. I subsequently mounted a double J-bar to the rails and that fit like a dream, too. I'll now be able to transport my kayaks when we camp on the lake, w/o having to bring two vehicles, as we'd been putting the yaks in our truck. Bottom line, I'm extremely satisfied with the end result, just a little irritated that they provided short screws for mounting brackets. The other option to solve this, is to further drill out the holes of the back left bracket, but I wasn't about to do that. ... show more

Okay... I had this product for about a week and gave up several times to install it myself. But I kept going back to it and just TODAY they were installed successfully!!! I must say that the rails are of an amazing OEM quality. There's nothing wrong with them. My main issue was with Nissan's four loctited screws in the side rails that were seized and needed to be removed for install. A body shop quoted $200 to remove them with removing and replacing the side rails back into place. A dealer quoted $2k, literally $2k, to remove them and replace the side rails with new ones that didn't need removing or replacing... Don't let these places screw you. So after days of screw removal research and numerous failed attempts, I bought some WD40 Penetrant and soaked the screws with it. I let it sit overnight and soaked them again today before working on the screws. Then I banged on each side of the screw head with a hammer. Then I used pliers to grip and finally twist them out. I was relieved!! My hard work paid off! Yes, I used a Torx TC30 bit as instructed to remove the screws but the screws simply stripped! So I had to resort to WD40 Penetrant to eat up the loctite that seized the screws in place. Yes, you do need a dremel or a drill to cut and/or drill holes around the indicated border. The directions indicate this. Just take it really slow and be careful, pay attention to what you're doing and do not rush. I left the side rails on during the entire installation as there's no need to remove them. ... show more

The bolt heads don't fit into the parts. The bolts weren't long enough to screw into the top of my car. I sent them back. Also, there was too much cutting into the original rails of the car. I was hoping that I could take them back off when I wasn't using them. You can, but you can't retighten the original rails after you take them back off. ... show more

1 - One of the mounting holes for the screws was not deep enough so the screw would not get into the matching hole on the car rail. Clearly one screw was sitting deeper than the other. Once I machined the part, the mounting was perfect. This should have been noticed by QC when inspecting the part. 2 - This comes with washers which are useless. They do not fit on the mounting holes. 3 - There is no gasket to seal the part to the railing. Rain can get inside the railing. I mademy own gasket. ... show more

It's great on my 2015 Nissan Murano. I took the roof rails off, drilled multiple holes in it to remove the rectangular holes marked by Nissan to be removed. And then put it back up. Installing these crossbars was easy. No interference with the sunroof. I put a Thule Force XT XL rooftop cargo box on top and went on a 1500 mile road trip. No issues. ... show more

Nice looking and sturdy. You need to handy with your own set of tools or be willing to pay for installation. It took me a couple of hours and I have been working on cars for over 20 years. Received the rail knowing installation might be a bit tricky from other reviews. But I started putting them together per directions and had two corner parts damaged one so badly I stopped myself from installing and reached out to seller (no word back yet but I just submitted my requests) also the bolts she sent work great for me and bolt hold that I’d a one slit but not the other sides where they are individual(they sit above the metal as seen in picture. Also not sure it’s a big deal but both my rails state front rail ok the stickers. (Could be mistake or just could be the same rail required for the make of my suv). Either way it’s made it a little difficult to say the least. Now to wait. ... show more
