Purchased this product for extra cargo space on our family vacation that included nearly 1,600 miles of driving. It was easy to assemble with the correct size sockets, but the included wrenches were not very helpful. The bag is a very thick material that contained everything well. Fortunately we didn't drive through much rain, so I cannot comment on how weatherproof the bag is at this time. The metal part is very sturdy and did not come loose at all during our drive. The bag includes straps that connect from the bag to the frame and two ratchet straps to secure everything. Nothing shifted at all during our drive and this provided plenty of extra storage space for all our things. Very glad to have made this purchase and look forward to using it again in the future.

I used this on the back of a Sprinter Van motorhome. Assembly was straightforward. I used this all summer to carry an inflatable boat, solar panels, trolling motor, battery, and camping gear. I added plywood sides and a crossbar to maintain its shape for loading. After a summer of use and 12,000 miles I was not disappointed, especially for the price. The back door of the van only had 6” of opening space, which I expected. Eventually there were holes that wore through the bag on the corners near the bottom. Things got damp but not terribly wet. Two of the metal brackets broke. I’m not sure if it was the welds, metal fatigue, or both. I consider this carrier to be a cost efficient carrier. For the money it did what I wanted it to do.

I was in a bind to move out of a vacation home back to our house. My wife wanted to bring a ton of stuff home. This thing saved my butt. It’s huge. Easy to assemble. I don’t know about longevity, but it was ideal for my needs. The bag is the main draw and works well. It also has a bunch of strap options. Clears the tailgate on a suburban barely, but clears it. For the money, this thing is a unit.

After searching and searching for the right hitch cargo attachment we finally decide upon this product. I was very excited to put everything together when it arrived. Everything came as described except there was a part of the waterproof that was sealed properly and the cover of the hitch came broken. We reached out to the company and they quickly responded to make it right. We truly love the product and could not be happier.

The product seems fairly sturdy, but won't know until I give it a road test, which will be soon. The only directions on assembly are on a video on Amazon. Sorry, but how do you assemble something in a garage when you have to have a computer to do it? Why not charge a dollar more for the product and add a decent set of directions how to assemble this? I now have a broken knuckle for no reason other than the correct method of assembly was not available. If you want to make a product to sell in other countries, then print some detailed instructions.

This product is just what I was looking for. The assembly was done by watching a video. The stabilizer bracket that attaches to the carrier and the hitch receiver provides a secure fit so there is no wobble in the carrier. The carrier came with a water proof bag with securing straps, ratchet straps and a cargo net. I was able to put all of our camping gear into the water proof bag which freed up loads of space in the car. Even when loaded I am able to open the back hatch on the SUV and it does not block the view of the rear tail lights or back up lights.

I had previously used a rack from Harbor Freight but this one is much larger and can handle a heavier load. I was suprised by the quality for the price and the extras that it came with. The only thing I didn't love is trying to store it when not in use.
