My kid (23 months old) was able to open the fridge with this lock on. It came right off multiple times. We cleaned the spot where we placed it, and let it sit for 24 hours without pulling on it as well. Will be buying a different lock.

Locks are weaker than I needed them to be. They kept my 3 year old out for about 2 weeks and then they found out they can force them open. It still keeps a good grip and they can't open the freezer but the weakness of the latch makes it an issue still.
