Each key has a powerful 3,100 Gauss Neodymium magnet with a 2-inch reach and is universally compatible with all our magnetic locks. Is it easy to remove? Yes, the locks are designed for easy removal. For best results use alcohol or dental floss to loosen the adhesive. They typically won’t damage paint or surfaces, but we recommend testing a small, hidden area first. Do I need any tools or drills for installation? Are the locks visible once installed? No tools are required—our locks install easily with strong 3M adhesive. For a more permanent hold, especially if adults might forget the locks are there and pull hard, optional screws are included. Once installed, the locks are completely hidden. Some locks aren’t staying locked. Is this a defect? Not necessarily. In some cases, metal cabinet knobs or their screws can become magnetized and interfere with the lock activating. Try moving the lock about half an inch away from the knob—this usually fixes the issue! My drawers don’t close properly with the lock. How can I fix this? No worries! For inset drawers, our included alignment ruler helps you place the catcher deep enough so the drawer closes smoothly. Easy to use and sticks really well. Comes with replacement stickies cause there are times I forget the lock is there and accidentally rip it off the cabinet. Luckily, it hasn't messed up the paint. I recently installed these cabinet locks in our new home, and I am impressed with their design and ease of use. After moving, I finally got around to installing them on our cupboards. Initially, I was concerned about the adhesive, but I found that with proper surface preparation, the locks held very well. For one of the cabinets, I did notice the striker came off easily at first. However, this was a great learning moment. It turned out that ensuring the cabinets are thoroughly cleaned before applying the adhesive is crucial. Once I properly cleaned the surfaces, the adhesive worked much better, providing a much stronger hold. I appreciate that the product comes with a free warranty, giving me peace of mind. It's important to register within 7 days of receiving the product, so make sure to do that if you purchase it. Overall, these cabinet locks are a great solution for childproofing, and I'm satisfied with their performance after understanding the importance of surface preparation and proper installation. ... show more
