Work great for my purpose. I bought them so could keep upright freezer door shut. It was left ajar and lost 300.00 worth of meat... The latch makes sure its shut, since have to take the time to latch it. I used one on my upper freezer door on my fridge, the seal is weak and the door would open and shut every time I opened the fridge door. This latch would be good as pet latch or maybe a toddler. If you have a climbing toddler who figures out how things work, I would not recommend this kind of latch. When my son was 2 he could of easily got past this latch. My other 2 wouldn't have tried to mess with it and would have worked for them.

Great for the price, very strong too!! The dog we own learned that an open fridge means food- so we had to get something for him quick so he wouldn’t eat us out of house and home lol. the lock not only detoured him, but I don’t think he’s quite smart enough to realize that the lock even exists now since it actually matches are fridge colors quite well :), so he’s given up the binge eating I suppose until he’s smart enough to open the pantry or something haha. One down side is it’s a tad human proof too lol! Sometimes it’s a bit hard to squeeze the buttons but it’s not the end of the world since it’s still pretty easy to use.

I got this item after an episode of having my basement upright freezer door come open, probably due to food shifting shortly after I put it in. Thankfully, I had a sensor in the freezer with the control upstairs on my refrigerator door, so I noticed that the temperature had risen into the 20s and didn't lose any food, but it could have been a very expensive experience! The lock has been on for 10 months, and the adhesive seems to be holding up very well. To minimize the action of gravity on the adhesive, I installed the non-moving part on the top of the freezer, so it doesn't get pulled on as much when it's being opened. The opening mechanism is hard to pinch to open, and could have been designed a little better, but is usable and probably would make it a lot harder for a child to open. Although I don't know how well the adhesive would hold up to a child actively pulling on it. Installing it at the top, though, would make it hard for a child to reach at all. For the very small price, it's definitely worth the added piece of mind. But do get the remote sensor, too.

Not for my toddler! I have an autistic 6 year old. He snatched this thing rite off the fridge then it wouldn't lock correctly anymore because when he snatched it off it broke the latch piece so yeah if your gonna use it make sure they don't yank on it.

Easy to open the fridge using the click buttons. Holds the fridge door shut, which was my main reason for buying them. My garage fridge was staying an inch open. This holds it shut snug, even without being installed in a very tight way. The adhesive came loose on the first day, but then just popped right back on and has stayed in place ever since. Good product.
