When I babyproofed my house, I originally installed a bunch of magnetic babyproof locks in the kitchen but it ended up being a huge hassle to open each one individually when I needed to get in the cabinet (ESPECIALLY my trash cabinet). I bought these latch locks hoping to make access easier for the adults in the house and this is my review/comparison between the two. They are a decent price, reviews are pretty good for this particular brand, WAY easier to install than the magnetic locks, adhere very well and none have fallen off, open easy enough for adults but my 1 year old can't figure them out, and they're made of sturdy plastic. The installation was super easy for me because there is a lip on top of all my cabinets so I didn't need to install the lip brackets that came with it. I can access my trash so much easier than before which was the main reason for getting these. I even messed up one, peeled it off, restuck it, and it's holding on super well so the adhesion is excellent and it didn't damage my cabinet when I peeled it off. The only con is that the cabinet opens up a bit so you can access the lock mechanism. So my daughter occasionally pinches her fingers in the drawer when she's extra determined to get into one. Not a deal breaker but you just need to keep an eye on your kiddos if they are playing in the kitchen. I HIGHLY recommend these if you are looking to babyproof but still have easy access to your drawers/cabinets. I'll update my review if I run into any issues. Hope this helps!

These have been great for keeping our 1 year-old out of cabinets he shouldn’t be in. Trust me, he’s tested them and they’ve held up nicely. Easy stick-on and have held up perfectly after a month or so. Very affordable as well.

We have a 16 month old grandchild who loves to explore— favorite expression is currently “open”. The latches work as designed and the adhesive seems to hold up even with the pulling motion of the toddler. It works with or without the receiving latch in place (think a cabinet or drawer with a face frame rather than a smooth upper surface). Recommend watching the brief instruction video beforehand for the best tips on installing.

I had an old set of latch locks that someone gave to use that required drilling, and I managed to break one the first time that I tested it out. I bought these adhesive-based latches with the expectation that at least if they failed, it would require much less effort to install and wouldn't leave drill holes and other damage to the cabinets. To my surprise, the adhesive is VERY strong, and so far neither I nor my son have been able to try and open a cabinet to break one. Unless your toddler is a tank, I don't think they'll be able to manhandle the cabinets enough to cause the adhesive to fail. Based on installed a set of these and using them for a while, I would actually expect the plastic to break before the adhesive would fail - that's how strong the adhesive it. My only complaints where that it was sort of a pain to get the adhesive backing off (they could have made a tab on the backing to make it easier to grab and peel off), and that the adhesive might be so strong that it will be hard to remove these in several years without taking off paint or otherwise damaging the cabinet surface. But its one thing or the other - if you want no-drill latches, they're going to need to have a super-strong adhesive. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Overall, highly recommended.

Super easy to apply under cabinets. Just takes a couple minutes to remove the adhesive cover, find a good spot under the cabinet, and apply. I have used these now for a couple months and they work great. Keeps my kid out of cabinets and away from dangerous cleaning supplies. A must have if you have babies!

The product is very sturdy and the adhesive is very strong. I love that I was able to install without any tools or making holes in my cabinets. However, the product itself is not 100% effective. It works as a quick deterrent but if my daughter takes her time, she can figure out how to open the door wide enough to stick her arm in and pull out little items that fits through the opening. For adults, this is a pain to get used to and kind of annoying after awhile. It is very sturdy though because when we forget and yank hard on the door, they do their job of staying closed. Overall I'd recommend this product but be aware this does not make your cabinets 100% baby proof.

these are perfect for cabinets/drawers. they’ll scare ya in the night when you forget about them, but they work great and the adhesion they come with are super strong. easy to install!

Our cabinets didn't have an upper part for the attachment so it didn't work out. But they seem stable and easy to use. Great value for the money and clean easy. Seem stable and not too thick.
