Solid grill for backyard use. It heats evenly, the lid is sturdy, and it’s a good size for family cookouts. Assembly took a bit of time, which is why I’m taking off one star, but once it’s set up, it performs really well.

This is a nice grill that gets the job done and works well for both grilling and smoking meat. It has a good amount of rack space and the air vents function properly for controlling heat. The temperature gauge also seems fairly accurate. It’s somewhat lightweight, which makes it easy to move around using the wheels, but that also means it could potentially get knocked over in strong wind. Assembly is straightforward and easy, just takes some time. It’s also easy to use and easy to clean. The outside coating holds up well against the heat (seems rust resistant). Overall, a good quality and very functional grill, and it looks nice. Seems pretty sturdy and durable. Really great value for the price. Would recommend.

This 27x15 inch charcoal grill is a mid-sized "barrel-style" cooker designed for high-heat searing and indirect smoking. The inclusion of a lid transforms the unit from a simple open-fire grill into a convection-style oven, allowing you to cook thicker cuts of meat like brisket or whole chickens by trapping heat and smoke. The "Dual-Zone" capability and "Heat Control" are the standout technical features. Because the basin is 27 inches wide, you can utilize a "Two-Zone" setup: pile charcoal on one side for direct searing at temperatures exceeding 500°F, and leave the other side empty for "low and slow" indirect cooking. This grill took me a long time to put together--roughly three hours. There's nothing particularly hard or tricky about its construction, there are simply a lot of items to put together. For instance, both shelves required securing three boards to the overhanging sides along with trying to keep those sides in position. Some of this could've come pre-assembled or as one solid piece to reduce assembly time and potentially lost parts. No tools were included, but everything was put together with standard bolts and nuts. (Metric with Philips heads) So, you'll need a good screwdriver and a set of wrenches/ratchets. I do wonder about how well it all will stay together, as there were no washers for anything except a portion of the ash pan. The instructions were adequate, but they did leave out the last step, which is to pop the plastic side covers over the exposed wheel nuts. That didn't go well for me, though. Both of them broke trying to put them on. One cracked in the middle on the bolt end itself and the one of the three stems of the other broke. Those parts should really be made out of more rubber-like material. They are too rigid and likely to break. The finished grill has everything you expect from a charcoal grill, though. Lots of surface area. Lots of shelving and storage racks. Easy access to all the parts, including the ash can and lots of air vents that can be opened. The shelves also fold down, a pair of tongs were included, and there's a thermometer on top. All nice bonuses.

I bought this charcoal grill for my brother, and it has been a great addition to his backyard. We often go to his house for family gatherings, and this grill works well for cooking different foods. The cooking space is large enough for burgers, sausages, and other BBQ favorites. The lid helps keep the heat inside and the food cooks evenly. The grill feels sturdy and easy to move with the wheels. It also has useful side space for tools.
