Runs smooth on 110V in my garage, but when I plugged it into 220V at my shop, you could really feel the extra power. I’ve been using 3/32 and 1/8 rods with zero issues. "This was my first stick welder, and I’m really glad I went with this one. Setup was straightforward, and it came with rods and gloves so I could start right away. The anti-stick feature saved me so much frustration while learning. It feels well-built, not cheap or flimsy at all. I’ve used it on carbon steel and some stainless with no issues. More than enough for hobby work, small fab, and general repairs."

I needed something portable but tough enough for equipment repairs out on the farm, and this welder checks both boxes. It’s light enough to carry with one hand, but still puts out enough amps for thicker material when I need it. The arc force keeps the bead smooth, even outdoors where power can be spotty. Super reliable with long extension cords too.

The quality control of the manufacturer is not good. My unit had the sticker and ground cables reversed. In addition, the input power switch is installed backwards. Luckily I was able to recognize the problem before I powered it up.

i could'nt be more pleased, i really didn't expect much for the price. i am a certified retired welder, and my large industrial welder quite after many years. i didn't want to invest a lot in a stick welder, since i don't weld much anymore. read the instructions, which are terrible, pugged it in and started to weld, great weld bead, good penetration, easy start' all in a package the size of a lunch box. don't know how it will hold up, but it already paid for itself.
