Very easy to use and easy to control (so you do not go too deep). I did not pull the heat trigger unit I had the connector exactly where I wanted it (flat and squared). Pull the trigger and the connector sinks in (< 2 seconds). easy as that. You must cut off the tabs and then I used my Dremel tool to polish down the nubs. I've only used it once so far. I repaired a blue plastic metal/glass recycle bin that was split in many places. It's now, again, sturdy and useable. The kit has a lot of things in it that I'm not sure if I'll ever use but if I need them I've got them.

I was not expecting much when I purchased this. To my surprise, it did the job I needed it to do flawlessly and saved me a substantial amount of money from replacing the part. The only negative is the hold that you insert the staple into are very loose fitting and the staple falls out if you tip it. So its a two-handed process to get the staple in place. ... show more

Upon opening the box itself is thin and fairly cheaply made. The gun itself is fairly self explanatory and easy to use. I was very surprised at how quickly it heated up. I was able to melt the pieces in faster than I could load them. It comes with lots of connectors and accessories. They are however jammed into a tiny case and it is hard to get everything back in. I bought this to repair a broken snow shovel. Three days of shoveling slush and it is still holding. That one repair covered the cost of the tool so I’m definitely happy. If I were going to do a lot of repairs I would probably upgrade to a higher quality tool but for basic occasional use this one is great. This gun is a little bit bulky and won’t fit into tight spaces well so plan on pulling the plastic off of your project. ... show more
