I picked up this kit to help repair the dashboard in my pickup (I removed it first and repaired from the underside). It did great with the original intention. However, since then I've found a few surprisingly good uses. With the included metal mesh I was able to repair the head on my yard trimmer that I wore holes in (new ones are over $30). Several weeks later it's holding up great. I also found this works great to repair a drain pan. In this kit you'll get the iron part with (4) heads, two of which have a slender shape and have a hole straight through to feed the included rod aggregate. You'll also get several colors of patch sticks and filler rod sticks, wire mesh sand paper, and even a couple pieces of foil tape. I can see myself using this tool for years instead of buying new bits to replace tiny worn out pieces of just about anything. I can't wait to find the next use. ... show more

    • Junk - Worked for 15 minutes and then died.
Moved my review from one star to four stars because the seller replaced the item. Hopefully this one works better. I was attempting to use this to fix a crack in a Hobie kayak. The unit worked for 15 minutes and then died. It does not get hot now, the element seems to have burned out. There is no fuse to replace or servicable parts that are apparent. Junk junk junk. No way to contact the seller on here. Pay more and get a quality unit. Cheap junk that just ends up in a landfill. ... show more

    • Fragile, treat it like its made of glass
Fragile, treat it like its made of glass. I used this several times with increasing success, but it rolled off the work surface and the cord allowed it to swing just clipping the concrete floor. I've analyzed it and there is an open inside the resistive wire coil inside and not repairable. Yes, I am replacing it, but with a more robust brand. Its a toaster coil around a metal post, I should be able to drag it down the road and still work. ... show more

    • Do not touch the heating element. It gets hot fast and will burn.
The Allturn Welder was great. It was extremely useful when doing the welding job on my car bumper. It was easy-to-use and maintained the heat needed for the work being done.

    • This thing is Da Bomb!
I’m so impressed with this welder. I have big welder from Harbour Freight that will not work in the small space I needed to work in. This Allturn is perfectly suited for small areas that big welders cannot get into. It heats up great and will be coming with me on our upcoming RV Trips.
