Description

If you are using an enclosed trailer or truck to transport goods, you'll need to ensure your freight load stays in one place and remains undamaged. This steel cargo bar is just what you need. Also called a load lock bar for the job it accomplishes, it will lock your load in its place so you can avoid freight movement inside your trailer. Cargo bars are convenient tools you can use to secure your load with minimal effort. The installation is quick and easy, the tube is immovable, and your cargo won't budge. Cargo bars are also particularly useful as load dividers when one trailer carries freight that will be delivered at various points. This cargo bar is a durable steel 1.5 diameter tube with 2 x 4 square rubber suction pads at the ends that attach securely onto parallel trailer walls, locking your cargo behind. With a little push of the ratchet lever, this adjustable load lock extends from 89 up to 104 long, covering the width of just about any trailer you might use. This slight load lock bar can be easily stored when not in use.

The media could not be loaded. [See video for an update.] Aside from the box in which these were shipped, which was ridiculously flimsy, these were perfect for me! Be sure this is what you're looking for before you buy. As is clearly stated, these are too long for regular pickup trucks, etc. However, they are super-easy to cut down to about any size you may need. I used a saws-all to trim mine down 9 inches in order to be perfect for what I needed. But they could be much shorter. Just use an Allen wrench to remove the ratcheting mechanism, cut pipe with a hacksaw or whatever (I used a Sawzall). Replace the mechanism and viola! Perfect! Liked em so much I bought more! I haven't used them a whole lot yet, but they appear very sturdy and overbuilt. Another factor in which to be aware, the ratchet notches are about 1/4-3/8 inch apart. So if you need to "fine-tune" the amount of pressure, that could be a problem. I'm very happy and love em! [UPDATE: see video] After my review, I found that one of the 4 bars wouldn't retract correctly. I figured out a hack to retract the bar using my finger to manually release it on each stroke of the handle. I'll update with how customer service handles the problem. But still very happy with the product! ... show more

I needed to brace some furniture in a cargo container prior to relocating the container. These worked great, kept the furniture where I placed it, despite a bit of rough handling dragging it onto the tilt bed truck. The only complaint I had was the difficulty of placing these myself. Even when I had assistance holding them in place the ratchet didn’t work as I expected. Instead of ratcheting the poles out, it required manually lengthening the poles and holding them in place stretched out while locking them down. ... show more

Easy to use! No pumping or ratcheting needed. Extend and close. Best feature is the release, press a button done! I've bought about 6 load lock bars from other manufactures. All crap! They were all not the easiest to use, some with holding brackets, too heavy to handle. This bar will be the only bar you will ever need. I've bought 1 bar for the price they offer for 4. I couldn't believe it, I thought it was too good to be true. I had to order it 3 times to get it but I was issued credit on the 2 shipments. First was undelivable? Which I couldn't believe, everything comes to my home? 2nd time the order was cancelled for a similar reason? So I had it delivered to my business where things seem to come broken or stolen but I felt if it didn't come to a comercial district in NYC, then so be it. 3 rd time was a charm. I was starting to think it was too good to be true that price for 4 load bars? But they arrived and I'm happy they did. I use 2 and have 2 spares. Let's see how long they last. But I wouldn't buy another kind even if it does crap out. Buy it! ... show more

By the 3rd use They were all broken by the thinner side of the tubing. Complete waste of money. Will not recommend this item to any professional, maybe a small hitch trailer. Cannot withstand being in the back of anything larger than a 10 foot long box truck or trailer.

I used load locks when I was a trucker and now that I'm retired I use them for when I move or help a friend move. Just moved a relative 500 miles and that a single box shifted whit these load locks keeping them in place. Well worth the money!
