    • very flexible and light weight
I got this 25 foot steel garden hose and 2 more of the same length plus a 50 foot metal hose to replace the 75 foot nylon garden hose that is a royal pain in the ass because it's supposed to be kink free but it knots up and kinks every time I unroll it or roll it back up in my hose wheel. Plus, it's so thick that the wheel can barely hold the 75 feet when it's supposed to hold up to 125 feet. This is very flexible, light weight, and much thinner so I can actually get 125 feet of metal hose on the garden hose wheel. It actually rolls up on the wheel nicely since it doesn't kink or collapses as you roll up the wheel. I don't have to worry about it kinking or knotting up as I pull it out and around stuff and have to go back and fight the nylon hose to get it unstuck so I can pull it out. I now have enough length of hose to reach both the very back of the yard and the very front of the yard since I can actually get more on the wheel. I also like that it won't rust and you don't have to worry about stepping on it, dropping something on it, or running over it with something and damaging the hose.     • Easily flexible and holds up, however it leaks
If you're exclusively using this hose outside from beginning to end, I don't think it's a bad purchase. However, if you're hooking the end up to a water source inside, I would think twice. The hose itself is quite nice. The metal housing keeps it from being crushed and kinked, and it's flexible enough to get around bends and corners. The problem for me arose when I connected it to my mudroom's utility tub. It seems there's no rubber gasket, no O ring to facilitate a proper seal. I'm not sure if this was a defect in my hose specifically, but it's worth mentioning. The water sprayed out in a fine mist from where it was connected to the spout. This is a good hose for outdoor use. I was getting tired of my regular hose tangling and getting kinks all of the time and this hose has alleviated the issue. But I do get some leaks when I connect it to my outdoor water spout. That could be a me issue, the spout is definitely older it is worth mentioning. When you think of things made of metals, they are heavy, but this hose is very light, a matter of fact, it’s lighter than my rubber/plastic hose, so much easier to maneuver, and never had bent or kinks. One thing though, the included Teflon tape tears easily, so I had to use my own stronger one, but that doesn’t degrade my star for the hose itself performance. I’m loving using it to water my garden. 25 ft Metal Water Hose – 304 Stainless Steel Garden Hose. As my husband was watering our window baskets, our neighbors asked about the hose. Is it strong? Is it flexible? Why hasn't anyone thought of manufacturing something like this before? We assured them that this hose WAS as good as it looked. This hose looks clean and functional, which it is. We wind it into a small circle and can store it easily in a small box in the mud room. It resists tangling!--and the stainless steel is puncture-resistant and strong. It certainly makes a difference from the older, cumbersome garden hoses. This hose snakes across pavement, stone, and soil easily. It doesn't drag and get caught on anything easily. I hope that it lasts. It does seem like it will be durable (one of my neighbors mentioned that it looked like the hoses that plumbers use for shower head hookups. We all wondered why someone hadn't thought of using this material before...I am crossing my fingers that the stainless steel will keep doing the job for a long time. I'm sold on these type of hoses. I've gotten several to replace our big, bulky rubber ones and I love them. They are so much lighter weight; they coil up easily and though they can tangle occasionally, they are easy to untangle. The quality is nice and they have a nice feel to them. I've literally gone from dreading having to use the water hose to looking for reasons to get this one out and use it. :D I've only had them for about a month or so, so I cannot comment on their durability. But they seem like they should hold up fine. And because they are easier to manage, I'm more likely to drain them and put them away for the winter. Another plus is that they rinse off easily so look and stay cleaner than the old school type hoses. Highly recommended!! ... show more

These are well made hoses. We have multiple brands and they all seem to be of comparable quality. This hose is both lightweight and sturdy allowing formmuch easier handling. The inside diameter of any of these hoses is much less than a quality water hose so you can expect a reduction in water quantity, though the smaller diameter provides higher pressure and spraying distance. ... show more
