Very easy to install and use! We use it for our daughter at the top of our stairs. She will mess with the bottom and stick her hand underneath and can create a gap that could potentially cause her to slip through, but I don’t let her play with it long enough. Could be a little more sturdy at the bottom.

I put our cat in our guest room every single night between 3-6AM from his excessive meowing, but when we have guests over, they sleep in that room & then he’s waking up the entire house for food bc he knows he could get fed 1, 2, 3 times if he continues to bother us. So I decided to try this out to keep him contained in our den area that had a window opening to the kitchen. For the first time in 7 years, I slept a full rem cycle & my guests didn’t wake up from him. I wish I ordered this sooner!

So we got this to keep our Yorkie from getting past our entryway since he has snuck out the front door occasionally. The way this installs, there is no way not to have a 1-2" gap under it and with the flexibility of the mesh (even with the stabilizers), it means our little guy can easily squeeze underneath. The materials are good quality and would work for a bigger dog. It is not easy to close one-handed and you need to open it carefully to ensure the mesh rolls up properly as it retracts. We plan to replace it with a metal gate.

Installation wasn't terrible, the gate itself is thin and flimsy, but it's better than nothing. I probably wouldn't buy it again, but it works for slowing down a small dog or baby.

Overall decent gate that we are using to keep two smaller dogs corralled in a part of the house. I was a bit concerned after installing it that the dogs would be able to push their way through the gate to crawl underneath it, then I realized it locks in place. So far, those clever little mutts have not figured out how to get past it. A bit of a chore to install properly, however once it is installed, it looks fairly inconspicuous when retracted and fairly easy to step over when extended.
