The blanket was the softest I've ever felt. I mean it was thinner than a heavy blanket you'd use to warm up, but for a throw or even on your bed it's just so soft it feels like silky and velvety... Ok now for this...this is microfiber and when I took this out I was so delighted. I won't say pleasantly surprised, because I was already knowing the quality...their microfiber is just same thing. It's smooth & silky. The comforter is nice and thick & stitched to keep the batting in place. I've got a queen bed and bought the king, which I never do, but I love how it drapes on & over the bed. We got a king size comforter that was stripped and for the most part we liked it. If you are expecting this comforter to go over the edge and be close to floor length, either size WAY up or this is not your product. Easy to wash and dry, lightweight for those hot nights but warm enough during winter. However, this bad boy shrinks and we have officially archived this comforter as it no longer fits our king.
