I was looking for a toolset that would allow me to remove and replace my lower ball joints on my old 98 Chevy K1500. I saw this and decided to order it because it is such a complete ball joint tool kit for many other vehicles, including my Dodge and hopefully my tractor. Now I can use it for all my vehicles. The time and money I now save with this is really immeasurable. Should have gotten one ages ago. This ball joint press kit allows you to press out the old ball joint and then press the new one in. My K1500 is starting to get s little saggy and sloppy in the front end so I know I'm going to need to replace the lower ball joint in the next few months. Got this ahead of time in preparation for that fun job. It's going to save me a few hundred dollars in labor though and I'll have the tool for other jobs. Learned many years ago to fix your own vehicle, save on labor and buy the tools. Why pay someone else and hope they do it right when I can do it myself and save. Buy the tool one time and fix all down the line. This it can be used on many different vehicles and can press upper and lower ball joints, U Joints and several other things that need to be pressed. Good all around tool to have. There are 23 pieces in this set that cover so much. The tool is designed to apply pressure even pressure correctly exactly where it's needed to get the job done without damaging anything. The tools are made of premium high strength rust resistant steel to last for years. This kit is priced at $100 which is in the middle of the price range but has 23 pieces. I do recommend this Ball Joint Press Kit from the limontek Store if you need a complete and flexible kit.

I wish I had known about this set before I spent the money on the ICON set that aside from the ball detent locking bits (Which this doesn't have) these sets are almost identical. This one even having a couple of pieces that the ICON does not. I especially like that on the blow molded case there is a sticker on the lid that labels all of the pieces by number and included with the kit is a small manual that has several makes and all of the models listed by year. For each a chart shows which number attachments to use for that specific vehicle even going so far as to specify front back even left and right for some vehicles. I think this is a nice touch that wasn't necessary for them to do especially being that this set is less than half of what the ICON set is little touches like that are always nice to see. Far as functionality the tool definitely does it's job. The build quality is definitely good all the the pieces being heavy duty the cups being thick and strong but not so thick that they are not functional. Given that this set is comparable to the ICON set minus the warranty I would still say that it is well worth the money especially if this isn't a tool that you are going to be using on a day to day basis and need to rely in that warranty.

Great set, covers just about anything you'd need. The compression arm weighs about 5 pounds by itself. Really doubt it could be damaged by normal use. All the other parts are robustly made, steel, and feel pretty durable. The whole case weighs a lot, so brace yourself before lifting it. The only downside to this set is the case, it's a bit flimsy. Both hinge pins were loose, and the plastic was broken a bit. I fixed the issues easy enough, but I doubt the case would hold up to daily usage unless you were very careful. Great for the home mechanic, though.

This tool kit is designed for heavy-duty ball joint removal and installation, it’s compatible with 2WD and 4WD vehicles which is great because you can take most vehicles. This kit includes 23 pieces, adapters, a ball joint press, and receiving tubes. They are made of premium steel and feel very heavyweight, durable and solid. This is great for my home needs as I always had to take to get replacements or repairs even though I have the knowledge to do it I didn’t have the necessary equipment. This kit makes it possible to get the job done on my own in my own time. When I need it it’s there and no longer have to pay to have it done. This can remove and press upper and lower ball joints, U joints and brake anchor pins. The case is a bit cheap and the locks on the top broke off and the weight of it pops it right open but you can’t ask for everything at least it has a proper place to store it just need to add something better to keep it closed. They function as intended and works decent for the price it’s a nice set and is in the middle of price range for kits like this. In all very heavy string metal, great for home jobs but also professional. They seem like good quality but only time and use will tell and I will update if anything was subpar or broke quickly but being home use I will only need here and there and seems like it will last for my needs. Currently I have a few that need doing.

I've been wanting one of these ball joint kits for a long time. Too many years that I've used the old hammer and torch method. This kit has everything you need to replace your ball joints if you have a 4x4 vehicle, especially if it's lifted. You know when you have a lifted vehicle that you wear through parts faster. This kit was perfect in helping me replace the lower ball joints on my 2006 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 with a 3" lift. I've also been able to do the set on my girlfriend's 2016 Jeep Wrangler with 4" lift. If you're a DIYer like myself or even a part time mechanic, this is an excellent set for you to have.
