These are a nice set of cross bars that fit well on our 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Installation was easy (once hubby watched a video to see how it was done. Instructions that come with them are not clear. They look nice and appear to be sturdy. Were not planning on placing to much weight on them so they should hold up. Would order again. ... show more

    • Look good, easy enough to install
The add kind of left me wondering how this mounted since it really doesn't say, and badly airbrushed photos really don't help. As I was hoping, it mounts to the existing rack bolt holes under the weatherstrip channel on any 2005+ Tacoma double cab, so no drilling required. Installation is straight forward. The instructions are poorly worded but once you see all the parts it's self explanatory. You do have to pull up the weatherstripping and cut about an inch of the weatherstripping out to access the bolt hole and place the spacer over the hole. If you have a handi-cut utility tool it makes quick work of cutting the weatherstripping. There is a piece of metal in the weatherstripping that you have to cut. It comes with small foam rubber washers for waterproofing the hole but I'd suggest using some silicone or something else along those lines to help seal the hole better. The fit is good and it looks good too. In the add it claims a 220 pound weight rating but in the instructions it says 165 pounds. It only uses one bolt instead of the two that the truck has at each end so I wouldn't plan on overloading this rack anyway. Overall I think it's a decent rack and it looks just like it came out of the factory with it. The aerodynamic shape of the bars could make mounting what you are planning on mounting a bit difficult but it isn't anything that can't be worked with. ... show more
