Only 1 star review because it doesn’t allow me to choose zero or negative stars. Don’t purchase this mower! It arrived with the front axel bent so we can’t mow in a straight line. Amazon wouldn’t allow the option to return it so I had to contact manufacturer. I was hoping they would send me a new mower but they are only sending me parts. So now I have to hire a lawn mower repairman to fix a brand new mower I purchased. It will end up costing me a lot. I should have just purchased a different mower directly from Lowe’s (at least there I could return a defected product). ... show more

The unit is surprisingly assembled in the USA. The motor is more than ample. Came almost completely assembled right out of the box. Solid instructions on the mower. It went nonstop mowing a slightly overgrown yard of 3/4 of an acre. Unit seems to be well designed. My only gripe and its not major is that is does not travel in self propelled mode as fast as I wish to travel. Motor didn't seem to hesitate in taller grass and didn't kill itself as most mowers do. While I certainly cannot say it will stand the test of time yet, 1st impressions are very good. For its price, I do recommend this unit ... show more

Solid machine. Just put oil and gas in it and you are set. Starts right up. It is HEAVY and im 6’4” 220#s. It’s a pain in the but in tight areas. Straight shots there is minimal effort required. The handle pad is starting to rip but some athletic tape fixed that. For the price it’s worth it

Let's face it, it's the cheapest self propelled mower on Amazon. So let me tell you what I found after I assembled and mowed today. 1) Easy to assemble. (Although I had an extra screw in the bottom of my box, it didn't appear to be missing from anywhere). 2) Started on the first pull. 3) It did a good job mowing through my weeds/grass. Disappointing was the speed of the self propelled. But based on the purchase price I found it acceptable. It wasn't slow, but I am 65 years old and I can push it faster without self propelled. That being said, this mower is not that heavy, thus if you want to push it w/o self propelled I found it doable...which is helpful around flower beds, etc. My last mower was front wheel drive so the rear wheel drive takes a little getting used to. With the old one I could just lift the front wheels off the ground and pivot 90-180 degrees. It's not a big deal, again just takes a few uses to become 2nd nature. For the price, I thought it was an excellent purchase. I did buy the 3 year protection plan since it was a "no-name" mower and not returnable. It gave me a bit of peace of mind when I found that extra screw in the box. LOL. ... show more

I put this mower together in about 30 minutes. Added oil and fuel and it started right up. I had let my yard go a bit and had very tall and very thick grass, mower never died once. Good power for a regular yard.

Thus lawnmower on day one of use took at least 12 hard pulls to start only cut half my yard before cutting off and would not start again, the self propel is over powering jerking you forcibly forward. Wanted to return and it didn't seem to be an option. Was ready to fight with Amazon concerning the difficulty with the return option. Got another try today took another 10 hard pulls was able to finish the cut being perked around trying to control the mower. Don't think this going to work out for me, it's just too much to handle. ... show more
