  • This out-performed everything else I own!
Style: 21" Corded Snow Blower
I buy an electric walk behind snowblower about every two years. We get a LOT of snow where I live and even though I have a garden tractor with a snowblower, it isn't always the right tool for the job so to speak. I have an old, small Montgomery Ward walk behind, two battery powered walk behinds, a 10" Yardman electric walk behind for decks and sidewalks, and until today I had a one year old electric walk behind. We got two days of extremely high winds and snow; I didn't even try to clean out the driveway until today. There was about 2 feet of snow in half of my 150' driveway and 3.5 feet in the other half closest to the road. It's 15 degrees so cold enough to keep the snow from melting but with that depth it became very compacted. My electric walk behind literally fell apart and quit maybe a quarter of the way through the 2 feet deep part. I got the garden tractor out but the snow was sticking in the chute and causing the snowblower motor to overheat. I got the battery powered ones out but the two batteries had not been charged in a long time so that was going to take many hours and I wanted to get it cleaned out. The Montgomery Ward one was in an unreachable location. I got the tiny Yardman 'electric broom' out thinking anything beats shoveling snow. UPS arrived but they could not carry my delivery down the snow-choked driveway so I told them to leave it at the road. By happenstance it included this Amerisun electric snowblower I ordered because it looked sturdy and was a nice price. I brought it in the house and assembled it in under an hour. Might have been dawdling a just little to thaw myself out as I had already spent 3 hours in my driveway. So the framework is that it was a frustrating snowblowing day, and I was not in a mood to be delighted by much of anything. Here's the part you will want to know: even in 3.5 feet of snow this snowblower never jammed once. It got right down to the asphalt and really did throw a full chute of snow a long way, even in still-strong opposing winds. The start button and handlebar are the best I have used in years. They don't cut out if you aren't concentrating intensely on keeping the bar tight to the handle. The large chute has the best swivel design I have ever had on a walk behind. It works very easily and there is no chance it will bend and become useless over time. The snowblower is easy to maneuver even for a 70-something female with a bad knee. It isn't overly noisy. It was fairly easy to assemble, although labeled parts or more explanations/pictures would have helped. I never did put the wheel covers on as the directions to "bend the cotter pin so the wheel covers will fit" seemed like a bad idea. I would suggest a different kind of locking pin to hold the wheel on the shaft and forget the covers - they probably won't stay on in my kind of snow anyway. I purposely put the lower two T-handle knobs on the inside (rather than the outside) of the bar as the clearance was too close between it and the wheels for the amount of snow that often remains on my wheels. The height was perfect and comfortable. It was not too heavy to horse around for two hours and the wheels never locked or skidded. I put it to an impossible test today and it came shining through. I consider it to be an excellent value for the money, seems to be well-built, came in a nicely protective shipping carton, had all the power I could hope for, and out-performed literally everything else I tried on my nightmare driveway today. It was impressive and did a fabulous job in conditions it was not designed to handle. I will watch for this brand again in snowblowers and other equipment. ... show more

  • Works as described.
Style: 18" Corded Snow Blower
For the price it's great. Exactly as described. Used it in 8 inches of wet snow. It threw it far. I was even able to clear the compacted snowfrom the city plows piled T the end of my driveway. I have so far only used it once because we've since had no significant snow. Wouldn't recommend for a large or long driveway but if you just have a normal suburban driveway and walks it works well. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY!
Style: 21" Corded Snow Blower
It is so low that it is VERY difficult to push. Should’ve known when we put the “plastic” wheels on it. Zero grip. Highly NOT recommend. I live in Lake Tahoe. We had 4” of snow last night. Does not push through powder. The snow we got last night is such an easy snow and this “toy” couldn’t handle that. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. ... show more

  • Good backup
Style: 21" Corded Snow Blower
Five stars for how easy this was put together. I'm pretty handy so it took me less than half an hour to unpack it and build. It turned on right away but I have to wait until it snows again. I had a snow Joe for a number of years and it worked great as a backup to my gas powered snow blower. I find these type of electric blowers work best with 3 to 4 inches of snow and no more than fifty foot driveway anything more than that you need a gas powered motor. I will update this review when it snows. Update we just had a major snow storm and I had excess of 12 inches and this item did not disappoint. The only concern is that on concrete it was a bit tougher to operate than on smooth tar but I'll keep it on 5 stars because it did a very good job regardless. ... show more

  • Amerisun Snow Blower Champ
Style: 21" Gas Snow Blower
A nicely designed snow blower that can accommodate a deep snowfall with the larger front opening. A high auger revolution speed will assure a good snow removal. I prefer the gas version over an electric due to the run time for battery powered units. No need to charge and wait or buy additional battery packs to continue your snow removal. The Amerisun has a separate oil reservoir tank so there is no need to mix gas and oil. Also, the new blower comes with a container of oil that is totally emptied out to assure the right amount of oil before startup. A great machine and value for the money. Also, easy to assemble and start. ... show more

  • Easy to operate
Style: 18" Corded Snow Blower
Works really well on powder snow. Wet snow or heavy snow it gets clogged at the exit spout easily. It’s very easy to operate and to assemble.

  • Best priced product for a great hard working machine
Style: 21" Corded Snow Blower
Snow blower arrived the day before a 5 inch snowstorm, handle the cleaning of a 150' driveway with ease. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised as to what a workhorse this machine is. The machine is well constructed and a great price. Yes, there is the electric cord to contend with but once you master how to drag it out of your cleaning paths, it's the best priced snow blower product to buy. Thumbs up all day long ... show more
