I have a dim garage work area that is difficult to provide secure, bright lighting. I evaluated this led lamp as a solution for that situation and a general option for other work area needs. My questions and answers follow. Was the package delivered in good shape? Yes. Was the packing sustainable with minimal waste? OK, wrapped in soft fabric like material. Was a readable manual provided? Yes. Were all parts included and in good shape? Yes. Is the product the same as advertised? Lamp bright chrome was unexpected. Were any necessary tools identified and/or provided? NA. Were any extra parts or accessories provided? No, an extra bulb or at least the ability to replace when needed would be a much better option. Is the product sturdy, made well and if possible using recycled or similar parts? Yes, the clamp is very firm and did not come loose after repeated shaking. The power cable is of adequate length for a range of situations. The lamp provides very good illumination in a range of lighting conditions. Are there any visible or obvious safety concerns? No. the power cord is well installed and handled various lamp positions and movements well. The clamp provides a strong grip on a table or work bench. Did product adequately perform intended functions or purpose? Yes. The neck is flexible enough to allow many angles and adjustments. It mostly stayed in the adjusted position but did remain loose and couldn't be locked firmly into a position. Does the product compare with other more expensive alternatives? Yes, the function and sturdy build are good quality. Unfortunately the bulb appears to be a built in unit that isn't replaceable. Were photos taken? Yes, package opening and set up. Were any measurements made of performance or function? The lamp was operated over an extended period without flicker or heat build-up. List other questions asked: Is it energy efficient? Yes but the lack of ability to replace the led is a big negative. Does it hum noticeably or give off heat? No Can the bulb be replaced? No Does it perform well in a dimly light garage? Yes, it performed well under even dark conditions and can be left on for extended periods without heat build up or glare problems. Do I recommend the product or have concerns? Yes. My only concern is that if something happens to the bulb the entire unit would need to be replaced which is wasteful. The build and function of this clamp light is very good otherwise.

This is a good lamp in my opinion. I got it for myself, but my teen son ended up confiscating it so I guess that means he likes it too. It does a great job at lighting small areas as expected. It’s fairly lightweight and made well enough. Although, to be honest, I’m not a big fan of plastic construction, which this light does have some plastic. I find it worked well for us so far. The cord length is sufficient for our purposes. Overall, it’s a pretty good clamp on lamp at a fair price.

This is an inexpensive machining light with a magnetic base. The magnetic base has the ability to turn the magnetism on and off. The magnetic aspect is fairly strong so there's situations where you don't want it to be magnetic so having the ability to turn it on and off is huge. The light is sufficiently bright and is waterproof, so it can be used in places where oils or coolants might splash onto it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I needed a basic clamp on light to use with my chop saw. My workshop can be dim in some areas so being able to shine a light right on the cutting areas is very helpful. Functionality: I love how the neck is bendable. For my application, it needed to be twisted into the perfect position as to not interfere with the saw itself. It's nice and bright too. I'm very happy with it so far. Glad I got it

I have not found the permanent home for this lamp yet, but it is quite handy on a drill press or bench grinder where do you need to see what’s going on. Both the magnet and the gooseneck are heavy enough for almost any installation.
