The photos in the description imply you can use this for ground soil tilling. That's not what I'd use this for. I think the limitation of this tool is to provide something to help you on a small area in a raised bed or with soft, moist garden soil. You're not going to be doing a lot of loosening on dry ground soil as it's not going to get very deep. You can do multiple passes to go progressively deeper, but you're going to likely be bogging down and getting grass/roots caught in the blades. All you can really do with it in this case is try to rip up some of the grass to get you started. Then, after you detach the battery and get all the grass or weeds that got wrapped around the blades off of it, then you can try to go a bit deeper. Photo shows me trying it out on some sandy soil. I tried it in a couple different areas with similar results. It'll help you get some of the weeds out, ripping up some of their root systems, but that's not what this is made for. You'd probably want to use a garden hoe to get the vegetation's roots out first, and then use this tool. I don't know how much time/effort that really saves you though. Blades could probably be a bit sharper, as instead of cutting, they tend to just grab whatever the encounter and wrap it around the axle. I gave it only 4 stars because it does function, and it's easy to use, but I think it's expensive for what it'll actually do for you over a manual hand tool. The blades turn fine, and the battery provides a decent amount of power for what it is doing, but I think it's mainly for raised beds with typical garden soil free of rocks, roots and other debris. Ie. in between seasons, if you want to aerate your small plot of garden soil a bit, it'd be good for that.

SEE MY VIDEO FOR EXAMPLE OF IT IN USE I have a ridiculous amount of tools from just about any brand you can imagine but over the past year or so I shockingly have been very happy with these Chinese off-brand tools mainly because they all come with the same battery type that is interchangeable between them all. I have probably 15 or more of these little 20 volt batteries which is amazing when doing work that makes them go by fairly quickly. The included battery works with my drill, leaf blower, portable pressure washer, impact wrench, paint sprayer, weed eater, etc. As long as its a temu style off brand chinese tool I'd say there is a high likelihood that the batteries are all the same. I personally think that is one of the best parts about it. The tiller itself works extremely well. Don't expect to use it on a huge area obviously because it's handheld but it definitely works great even on very compact soil. I live in East Tennessee where our soil is very rocky and clay filled, and it dug up my soil with no issues whatsoever. I included a video to show an example. The claws of it are steel and not easily damaged even when hitting roots and rocks while I was using it. I can't really speak to the longevity of it but it definitely gets the job done especially if you are using this for gardening. You honestly could use this to help dig holes for post or miscellaneous things like that which is mainly why I ordered it because I have a huge 15 amp corded Tiller that has way too much power and is too wide for small tasks like digging post holes. Using this before I start shoveling makes the job 10 times easier and really does 90% of the digging for you. I do like the fact that this is handhelding gives you a lot of control over how deep or how shallow you are tilling. And it's not overly wide either so it's really versatile for all the tasks that you could use it for. The battery life is good if you're doing just small gardening tasks but if you have some big jobs I would definitely recommend getting extra batteries. The better idea is just buy more Chinese off-brand tools that also include two batteries.

Mylux seems to have found 'their LANE' with their small hand held tools, of which I've tried a number. Never the very 'Best' but never BAD either, often very very good, but at a fraction of the price of the BIG BOY brands. It's actually a very satisfying 'niche' for a "bang for buck" guy like me; I mean if it does the job well, is built to actually USE and Last, has the accessories you NEED, and is reasonably priced, UNLESS you're intention is to use the tool day in/day out to make your livelihood professionally, then it's plenty darned acceptable for an old 'DIY' guy like me:). This little tiller is a case in point. For the gardener who's flower/plant/spice beds etc. are defined by acreage,,, this little bugger is a hobbyist's dream- especially in raised planters etc. Further, if your hands aren't what they used to be, this thing takes away the repetitive claw, pull, dig chop strain off your hands and wrists with the result that gardening returns to being the pleasant calming past time you remember:) As to construction, it's by no means flimsy or *junk* in any way. The motor is strong as is the battery, (it's included as is the charger). At first the battery fits pretty tightly but after using a few times, it slides in and out just fine. The plastics are sturdy, the steel tines are sharp enough and strong enough to deal with small stone and roots when tilling, and when used to prepare soil for potting, it works like a blender:) Maybe not the strongest, but plenty strong for its intended purpose:) I give this MUYLUX tiller 5 stars for satisfying the needs of the market it's targeting. RECOMMENDED
