I have heard very mixed reviews about whether ultrasonic pest repellers work, so I was a little skeptical before buying this. Still, because I am genuinely terrified of bugs, especially spiders, I decided to try it. Living in the country in Texas means black widows and brown recluses are common outdoors. I have not seen either inside my home, but I wanted to take extra precautions to keep it that way. My house gets professionally sprayed every quarter, but bugs still manage to sneak in when the door is open for only a few seconds at night. They usually end up dead on the floor afterward, but I wanted to try this device to deter them from coming inside at all. Each device makes a short chirping sound when plugging it in, followed by a little blue light that stays on. After that, it becomes completely silent. There is no way to confirm whether it is working. The blue light is the only visible sign that it has power. I placed two of these by my back door, which tends to be a problem area for bugs. I have not noticed any improvement. I have seen bugs crawling on the same wall where one of these is plugged in, which does not give me much confidence in its effectiveness. I have also found the occasional spider inside, even with these running continuously. For a product that claims to repel pests, seeing bugs within feet of it is disappointing. The blue LED light stays on constantly and is bright in dark rooms. It does not block the second outlet but can feel a little cramped depending on the wall plate design. There is no noticeable heat, odor, or ongoing noise once it is plugged in. In comparison, sealing cracks, installing door sweeps, improving weatherstripping, and staying consistent with quarterly pest control have made a far greater difference than these plug-ins. They look nice and sound impressive in theory, but they have functioned more as glowing blue nightlights than actual pest and insect deterrents. I would not rely on these alone.     • It worked very well first 6 months but after that doesn’t work
I bought this product 7 months back , it magically workers all insect inside my house were disappeared suddenly after plugin these replient in each room. So it worked very well . But I have 4 star out of 5 because after 6-7 month it seems less effective or you can say no use as I am seeing same bugs again like before. Vivo en pleno Caribe a 30 grados y rodeada por vegetación agreste por lo que siempre hay insectos de todo tipo alrededor, voladores y rastreros. Les tengo fobia así que cualquier movimiento me doy cuenta inmediatamente vivo torturada a pesar de tener mallas en mis ventanas. Compréen Julio de 2025 cuatro de estos aparatos por lo económicos, pensando que si no servían pues no perdía mucho. Puse uno en la terraza donde siempre pasan alimañas de la calle, el segundo en la cocina , que es cerrada y donde siempre había hormiguitas y pequeñas cucarachitas incontrolables por mucho veneno que pusiera y limpieza que tuviera, y entrando por el patio cucarachas de las grandes. Puse el tercero en mi sala, que cubre también el estudio, el comedor y el baño social. Y el cuarto lo puse en mi habitación detrás de mi mesita de luz, ya que se colaban insectos, ni sé por dónde. Después de varios meses de usarlo no hay ni arañas ni cucarachas ni cucarachitas ni ningún tipo de insecto volador, De hecho tampoco entran moscas ni mosquitos. Obviamente mantengo las mallas, mantengo todo limpio y sigo fumigando periódicamente como antes de ponerlos, pero la ausencia de insectos y de alimañas de cualquier tipo definitivamente es real. No he visto una cucaracha de las grandes desde hace meses, cuando sí las he visto en la calle y me producen gran pánico, pero no se acercan a mi casa. Estos aparatos funcionan, aunque no les tuve fe inicialmente. Voy a comprar cuatro más, porque no funcionan habiendo paredes o puertas en el medio, y tengo dos habitaciones y dos baños que quiero cubrir también por las dudas.     • Subtle, but they actually work
I got these a while ago with very low expectations. I plugged two in and didn’t notice anything but I left them in. Couldn’t hurt. Fall was winding down, so bugs disappearing is normal. Well, it’s spring again! I’ve been noticing an uptick in buggies, but isolated. Like just one or two flying around. Indicative of a potential problem. The other day I was doing something in a back room that I never touch and I moved something and a cloud of fruit flies sprang into life and I was like woah, what the heck? Theres no food in here, there’s literally nothing I could imagine these tiny flies enjoying. So what was happening? They were running from the plug-ins, I suppose. It is obviously the kitchen where they’d be a problem, not only because food but because that’s how they get in: produce. None of these bugs around my trash or my food says something about the plug-ins effectiveness. (And they were definitely fruit flies, not gnats!) So the TLDR; They are not 100% effective but they are absolutely doing a lot of the heavy lifting! ... show more
