Ants become a problem in the summer here in the PNW. No matter how much caulk I put around outlets and baseboards, somehow they come out of the woodwork (literally), every year. I've tried all the harsh chemical traps, diatomaceous earth & several other DIY solutions meant to work by getting back to the queen & eradicating the whole colony. But my ants?? They just seem to say "HAA!!" & keep on coming. Needless to say, I'm both skeptical and desperate to try any/every thing to get rid of these no-rent-paying pests. I was double skeptical since this spray is made with only natural ingredients - essential oils mostly. But it really impressed me with the 1st use & has continued with reach spray since. It doesn't get rid of them *at the source* but it DOES get rid of every last one in sight!! If not killing instantly, the smell is so strong it sends them running to the exit FAST. This time, it was a crack in the caulk around an outlet. I used the spray to thorough cover all 4 sides of the outlet plate & wall. That was 4 days ago & I've yet to see any more ants in my kitchen!! 👏🏼🙌🏼 Now, since it's only a contact killer/repellant, I know they'll return eventually. Either from another entry or once the oils dissipate enough. But with how effective this has worked after just a handful of uses, I'm okay with that! It's more than enough to keep them at bay until the exterminator comes out for quarterly maintenance. Summary: beyond pleased with this product! Definitely would/will reorder whenever I finally do run out, and highly recommend to anyone else looking for an all natural, kid & pet safe pest spray. ... show more

I’ve been using this FortaGrow pest spray for a few weeks, and it works really well at keeping spiders, ants, and flies away. I like that it’s plant-based and safe to use around my kids and pets once it dries. The spray is ready-to-use, which makes it super convenient—no mixing or complicated instructions. I also appreciate the clean peppermint scent; it’s much nicer than harsh chemical sprays. It does need to be reapplied a couple of times a week, which is a bit of extra work, but it keeps pests under control. This stuff smells very strong if you’re sensitive to smells (i am), but it works very well. Ever since we’ve used it to spray the baseboards at the windows and the inside of the garage, we’ve barely seen any bugs come in. The ants haven’t been nearly as bad as they’ve been prior to this stuff. The smell doesn’t seem to bother my husband or son, and it’s more natural than other sprays… I’m just sensitive to smells. I love this spray- it smells so good, is safe for use around my pets, plants, and family, and it helps to deter pests naturally. It is made from peppermint and clove essential oils which can be strong at first, but mellow out. The clove has a nice home smell to it. I use it weekly around my windows and doors to help keep any critters from coming inside. I love that it is in an easy to use spray bottle so I can control where it goes and makes me feel protected from pests and adds a pleasant clean scent. I will be buying more! ... show more

    • Natural alternative that works!
This spray seems to work so far. I have only used it a time or two as it has been too hot to be outside where all the insect issues we have are, I can't say it actually killed anything, but it did detract or detour the bugs. It definitely has a strong peppermint scent which I much prefer to a chemical. I like that it is a natural substance that I don't have to worry about getting on me or in the air I breathe, for myself and my dog. I know that peppermint does keep spiders at bay when I have used it on my sinks etc. so I have no doubt that this will be good for use inside as well when the time comes. The sprayer sprays well with no cliches or defects as some I have had in the past. Overall seems to be a good alternative to poison. ... show more
