I live in an old house with a partially finished basement where I work out every morning. There are tons of spiders in every corner and webs everywhere, and while I am not afraid of spiders, I do not like walking through webs and seeing dead bugs in the corners. I saw that peppermint oil was a way to deter spiders but did not have the energy to make my own concoction. So I gave this a try with very low expectations that it would work, or if it did, that it would last. I cleared out the visible webs with a swiffer duster (and there were a lot) and then sprayed all of the places that I had seen spiders and webs. The smell was pleasant and not too strong at the beginning but then dissipated by the next time I went downstairs. Now 5 or 6 weeks later, I still do not see any spiders and I have not had random webs come across my face when I go to my work out area. Very pleased! ... show more

    • Not very effective
Almost have to drown the little buggers to kill them. Just have a few that I can see but I want to eradicate those as soon as possible but I find myself actually chasing them with the spray. Odor is strong, too.

    • No more spiders!
The scent is a rather strong, but I like peppermint so I don't have any issues with it. The scent dies down within a couple hours anyways after you spray it (at least, to my human nose). I noticed spiders kept coming in my room from under the door, so I spray it mainly there and now I haven't seen any spiders since! I respray every 2 weeks because I'm paranoid, but it's possible that it lasts longer. I didn't want to buy traps or manually kill the spiders, nor did I want the panic of touching them and having to relocate them outside. This spray solves both issues. ... show more

    • DO NOT BUY THIS! DOES NOT WORK. IS NOT PET SAFE. GAVE ME AN AWFUL NOSEBLEED
There is no way this is pet safe. I didn't use too much of the product and followed the instructions to spray 8-12 inches away from the window sill or door way, and the scent was SO STRONG I started choking, I had to remove my hamster's enclosure into another room. I got a bad headache, was lightheaded and actually got an AWFUL NOSEBLEED from inhaling this, all I did was exhale from my nose and I noticed fresh blood flecks literally spray out onto my shirt upon exhaling. Oh and the best part? It doesn't even work. Thankfully after two days the smell is completely gone but it did nothing to deter the bugs. ... show more

The product came good in good condition, just one problem. There's no part to squirt bottle. I got a bottle of the product, but there was no nozzle with the product which is what they showed on the picture and in the description. So now I have to go out and buy a squirt bottle to put the product in to be able to use it so I don't know if I'll be buying this product together or not. ... show more

bought this because i have wood beetles that come through the windowsill, and as soon as i sprayed they were dropping dead. definitely recommend, does have a strong scent but honestly it’s not as bad as i expected. came so fast and works just how i needed it to!!

I was extremely skeptical of this, but I found a dead roach in the area that I sprayed it in. I guess it’s working? I’ll keep using this and post an update if I think the kill was a fluke. I’m currently using it as a boundary spray on my baseboards.

    • Smells ok but doesn't actually work
I live out in the woods and recently had an influx of cockroaches. I don't know what kind they are. I know that peppermint oil is a repellant and some pure peppermint oil will even kill roaches. However, this was so watered down it had zero effect on the roaches. They crawled directly over spots that I sprayed and didn't seem the least bit bothered. The peppermint is far too diluted to work. I have pets and needed something safe to use in the kitchen. I do know that peppermint oil can be toxic to cats so I had to make sure to spray it in places the cats wouldn't get into. I would not recommend this product. Get straight peppermint oil instead but don't spray it near cats. ... show more
