  • Buy nothing other than this product. Seriously
So you look and you see one of the worst things you can possibly imagine seeing crawling around. The first thing you want to do is scream and panic and burn down your dwelling. I know, I've been there. Don't do that though, really bad idea and not very 'green' either. Instead of all of the aforementioned, open your app/browser and start buying this stuff (the gallon spray as well). If you are really freaking out, get it shipped overnight. Once your stuff arrives, you can now be rest assured, the battle is over, and won, by you! You may not see the little b@$tard$ while you are spraying everything-EVERYTHING-with this magic substance, but trust they will get it. If you do encounter one/some you will get to watch with glee as they take one step with their evil little hell-demon legs into the mix and stop. Dead. Tomorrow you will wake up and see the casualties you have created. Depending upon how 'bad' you 'got it' this can last for some time. But you will hence forth experience these hell-spawns post-mortem, and that's a good thing. Look no further than Harris, this guy knows how to kill these buggers, fast, and continuously. Get some of the diatomaceous earth and keep that in the nooks and crannies. This is the MOAB of all BB killers, it works, and stays working. ... show more

  • Works but must re-apply in 3 weeks
I woke up one day with three bed bug bites on my back. Honestly, I thought they were a skin problem, and went away on a week-long trip. When I got back, I found what looked like a bed bug by the shower drain. I killed it, and the next morning I found that I had gotten two new bites in the night. Another day later, I had three bites on my arm. I also killed another bedbug in the bathroom. I did my research, and bought this spray as well as DE dust. After applying the dust to the four legs of my bed, along the floor, and making a dust barrier at all the doorways, I then thoroughly sprayed the mattress with this Harris spray. One 16 oz bottle was just enough to spray the whole mattress top and under, and also the bedframe beneath the mattress. I did not have enough in the one bottle to spray the whole room. This stuff goes quickly. In any case, I was bedbug bite free for a good four weeks after that. And then one dawn, I woke up to a bedbug sneakily crawling away from me on the pillow, which I promptly squished to death. Too late though, because I found a bite on my hand. I immediately went to the drug store and bought another bedbug spray (ortho brand) and sprayed the whole mattress again. I also ordered this from Amazon again, and when it arrived in 3 days, I used it on top of the ortho one. That was 8 days ago, and I have not found another bedbug or had another bite. So, I concluded that this spray will kill the bugs it can reach, but that the residual kill effect might be only in effect a couple of weeks. After that, it looks like you need to reapply. I plan to order more cans of this and the ortho (which also seemed very effective), and alternate spraying my bed and surrounding floor every 2-3 weeks for at least a few months. Will provide updates as to how that goes. - 12.28.2018 Update 3.14.2019 - bedbug free! Haven’t had a bed bug bite since December 2018, so I conclud that they’re gone. I am gonna keep buying the sprays to use regularly on the carpet of the hallway outside my apartment, especially near my door, because those initial bugs must have come from a neighbor, so I figure the best preventive is to kill them before they reach my apartment. Otherwise, I am breathing a big sigh of relief. ... show more

The size should be smaller so it can be packed and used for return trip. Found the nozzle difficult to control spray force on luggage. Seems to be effective. Did not bring any bugs home.

  • Mixed results... Not a for sure remedy
I can see that different people are getting different results. Unfortunately, my results were not very good. I certainly did not expect what happened to happen. Rather than break my bed apart and start spraying everything, I decided to test it out on a few bugs that I trapped. I trapped four. Two were babies. One was mid-sized, and one was full grown. I had them all in a tray and gave them a mist. Nothing happened. It didn't seem to faze them. I waited four about ten minutes, but still nothing. I decided to soak them with more spray. They were pretty coated. This time, I saw some quick response. The big one, the middle one and one of the babies died instantly, or so I thought. I was surprised that one of the babies kept running around like nothing happened, looking for a way out. I read that the product doesn't kill until it dries, so I set the tray aside and went about my business for a while. An hour later, I came back but couldn't identify the smallest one. Perhaps it was dead and just camouflaged in with the dust and debri. To my astonishment; however, the largest one started moving again. I though it was maybe just the last of his death throws, so I waited a while longer. By the time I checked back, it had been about three hours since spraying them. Now the big one was going about like nothing had happened. He walked around the tray trying to find a way out. I was very surprised. I decided that I had nothing to loose, so I did some more chores and came back about another hour, and he was gone! He'd managed to climb out of the tray and move on to some hiding place. I was very disappointed, and decided not to waste my time breaking my furniture apart. I decided to try the silica dust and see how that goes instead. For those who are having good luck with this product, good. But, beware that it may not work for everyone. ... show more
