Description

About Harris Harris is America’s oldest EPA-registered company. With more than 100 products, the company provides solutions to treat everything from roaches and bed bugs to scorpions and stink bugs. Harris helps customers find easy and economical solutions to pest problems through helpful labeling, instructive videos and personal advice. Harris Bed Bug Killer Kills Bed Bugs When Spray Dries. 1 Gallon allows for repeated applications on an on-going basis to effectively eliminate bed bugs. Odorless and non-staining formula will not cause damage to fabrics when used according to label directions. Registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (No. 3-11) for indoor residential use. Use the included trigger sprayer to effectively treat areas where bed bugs are hiding Using Harris Bed Bug Killer Before application, you need to remove clutter from the area and wash and heat dry bed linens and any furniture covers. Next, remove the box spring and mattress from the bed and vacuum thoroughly. Remove the cap and connect the included trigger sprayer. One important note about the sprayer - make sure to turn the spray nozzle to the off position when not in use. Otherwise, liquid will siphon out and leak. Once the sprayer is connected, treat common areas where bed bugs may be hiding including bed frames, box springs, mattress seams, baseboard, behind headboards. For a full list of approved areas, see label directions. The most common areas in the bedroom where bed bugs hide include box springs, bed rails, and mattresses seams and folds. If you have a box spring, make sure to treat inside where bugs may be hiding. When spraying, be careful not to over apply. Spray from a distance of 8-10 inches until the surface is slightly damp. Also, do not apply any type of powder until the liquid is 100% dry. You may need to repeat treatment over the course of several weeks depending on the severity of the infestation. Repeat treatments may be necessary to kill bed bugs that may have been missed during earlier treatment. A repeat treatment may be made 7-10 days after the initial application. We recommend using this spray in combination with a diatomaceous earth or silica powder. The key is to be persistent; entire bed bug infestations are often not eliminated overnight. 1 Gallon allows for repeated applications on an on-going basis to effectively eliminate bed bugs Use the included extended trigger sprayer to easily treat areas where bed bugs are hiding Water based formula means absolutely no oily or greasy residues are left behind Registered with the Environmental Protection Agency for use in homes with people and pets

  • Great stuff! Please redesign the spray nozzle..
Been fighting bed bugs for about a month now. Too early to claim victory, but the Harris Bed Bug spray seems to be working nicely. I was prepared to be disappointed in the spray nozzle from reading all the complaints, so I wasn’t surprised when my son quickly discovered how useless it is. Deducted one star for that reason. It leaked badly during application so we poured some in a spray bottle. Much better! My son’s bedroom, where the problem originated, seems clear now, but I have been getting a bite here and there on the back of my arms so I am sure they are in our corduroy recliners (that are configured like a sectional.) Last night I took a flashlight and found a “teenaged” bedbug in the recliner I sit in the most. Sprayed it with 91% rubbing alcohol and it died within seconds. I searched for its homies (and eggs) and found nothing, but I plan on using the Harris spray to cover everything in the family room and keep vacuuming. I need to be more consistent, however! The print on the Harris bottle is so tiny, so instead of finding the strongest readers I have plus the magnifying glass, I will just ask you fine folks if it’s ok for young children (or anyone for that matter) and dogs to sit on furniture that has been sprayed with Harris bed bug killer after it has dried. The whole clan is going to Disneyland in the winter and you can bet I’m bringing my flashlight and Harris bed bug spray for all of our hotel rooms! ... show more

  • The best product I've used.
I've tried others but got amazing result from this ,my roommate box spring and mattress, base board, around the vent and plug was invested like you've never seen before and the rails that hold the box spring .My room i would just see them here and there weekly so we got rib of both box springs treated all areas invested 2 - 3 times a week we got rib of box spring and just bought metal box springs no less than $50 and mattress covers and you will see the ones that you didn't get but than in a weeks time we stop seeing them at all .The main thing is to follow the directions it tell spray ,base boards ,vacuum carpets, spray around outlets ,vents ,but spary lightly .Repeat this with is gallon of Harrison, the best part is that it works when it's dry when they come in contact with it ,it will kill them .I will buy another gallon just to have to stand by because I had plenty of sleepless night, thanks team. ... show more

  • Really wanted to like this, But I would recommend Ortho or Hot Shot instead...
I prefer things that are ecologically better for the planet like this is supposed to be... But when it comes to the nasty bugs that this is supposed to kill that it doesn't , I would advocate most anything that will get the job done over the cost to the environment! Then coupled with the self siphoning sprayer that you have to watch like a hawk to keep all of the product from leaking out when you have to stop for a moment to move furniture and such, it further made the product mostly a waste of money for this particular purchase. Yes it did kill some bugs, but mainly by virtue of drowning them with the product... and it did not kill the eggs for me or keep them from rebounding again after treating an area. After multiple treatments with poor results I bought some Ortho Defense Max and Hot Shot and when I captured bugs and put them in separate containers with a drop of each it did the worst of the three for killing live bugs, where the others would still kill bugs if I dropped one into containers a week or two later after they crawled across the dried product. I did also buy some of their diatomaceous earth and I did find it a good value for the money and their duster worked well, but I just can't praise all of their products. ... show more

  • Messy, Awkward and Did Not Work
This stuff item was a real letdown. I bought it before I discovered Crossfire - seriously, get that instead! - and there is no comparison. The sprayer with this bottle is mostly ineffective and very messy. It also leaks like crazy from the nozzle so you have to keep the nozzle pointing up at all times or you will have a toxic mess all over yourself and your floor. It is quite hard to manage the awkward, leaky nozzle while keeping the bottle upright. More importantly, this product did not appear to actually kill any bugs. I saw no difference after using it. I truthfully feel like it was a waste of money. The only reason I still have it is that I'm not sure how to properly dispose of pesticide. I threw out the stupid nozzle though. More trouble than help. ... show more

  • This product works!!
We got this and after a year of constant battle trying to get rid of our unwanted tenants in our new house, we are finally winning the battle it would seem! We pulled down the curtains, stripped the bed completely, and pulled everything out, wiped everything with dawn water, laundered all the bedding and pillows... we swept everywhere and then sprayed every surface, Crack and crevice with this and two nights have passed. The first night there were maybe 3-4 of the little trespassers, but night two and didn't see a single one! We are going to repeat the entire process in a week, so here's hoping we have this battle in the bag! The smell is almost nonexistent, it's super easy to spray everything quickly which makes the job go smoothly. Effectiveness seems to be 100% at this point and I must say that is phenomenal considering how many products we've tried in the past year! ... show more
