  • Really wanted to like this, But I would recommend Ortho or Hot Shot instead...
I prefer things that are ecologically better for the planet like this is supposed to be... But when it comes to the nasty bugs that this is supposed to kill that it doesn't , I would advocate most anything that will get the job done over the cost to the environment! Then coupled with the self siphoning sprayer that you have to watch like a hawk to keep all of the product from leaking out when you have to stop for a moment to move furniture and such, it further made the product mostly a waste of money for this particular purchase. Yes it did kill some bugs, but mainly by virtue of drowning them with the product... and it did not kill the eggs for me or keep them from rebounding again after treating an area. After multiple treatments with poor results I bought some Ortho Defense Max and Hot Shot and when I captured bugs and put them in separate containers with a drop of each it did the worst of the three for killing live bugs, where the others would still kill bugs if I dropped one into containers a week or two later after they crawled across the dried product. I did also buy some of their diatomaceous earth and I did find it a good value for the money and their duster worked well, but I just can't praise all of their products. ... show more

  • Completely Savage! Kills all of the things!
I didnโ€™t quite plan on writing a review but I felt compelled. This stuff is the real deal. I started breaking out in bumps for the last couple of months. I immediately assumed they were bed bugs and quickly ordered this product. So I knew my first step was to find one, I used to work for a hotel so I was pretty confident in knowing where to look. I obtained a light source and began looking along the seams of my futon. I eventually made my way to the zipper, I was afraid of what I would find. To my dismay it was completely CLEAN! In my 3 years working in the hospitality industry this was very unusual. Normally you would find bed bugs behind the headboard, even if it were a small infestation they seemed to always hide within the hosts bedding. I panicked and looked under the dresser, TV, PS4, lamp, absolutely nothing. My last step was to disassemble the wall outlets in which I was sure to find something...Nope not a thing. A few days passed and the Harris bed bug killer arrived, as a precaution I sprayed everything along the futon, even the edge of the carpet. It worked great for a week, no bites and then all of a sudden I got bites again. I went all Rambo on my bedding. I tore everything apart, took a flathead screwdriver and began separating the seams of the carpet. Under my stomach as I was laying down prying the carpet I felt a welt starting to itch. Immediately looked in the surrounding area and found larve. I was puzzled this didnโ€™t look quite normal, after I shined a light under the seams of the carpet I saw more of this strange larve. And then I spotted what looked like tiny black beetles that werenโ€™t moving. I found out that I had carpet beetles. The bites were actually irritation caused by the hairs on the Larve. The spray took good care of what was left over. Also those tiny black bugs that werent moving were actually the left over carcuses of an ants. A spider had been munching on the ants when it also met its demise via the spray. It killed ALL of the things. Iโ€™m confident it would work for bed bugs if it killed carpet beetles and a spider. Also my biggest gripe is the nozzle. I had to use an empty fabreeze bottle in order to spray the chemical. ... show more

  • Be thorough and use repeatedly.
Hey, if you like to save money and hate bed bugs this is a great starting point. Do your inspection clean what you have. Attack the eggs. Spray this and all the crooks, crevices, crannies, and folds of the mattress or any couch cushions. These are the hiding places for bed bugs. This spray is very effective having been bug free for 6 months now! You have to do the work and apply regularly! ... show more

  • It actually works
After we moved to our new house I bought this really nice $1200 natural wood bed, brand new mattress, and new bed set for the spare room. Not a month later, somehow, we ended up with bedbugs in that one room. We have never had bed bugs in our life. Called an exterminator.....yeah I'm not paying that much for one room. Luckily there was no carpet in that room or that part of the house. Did you know your pets can bring the little buggers in? They can come in on the bottom of your shoes?!? Gah! Anyway I digress. Found this product, saw good reviews, decided to give it a shot. Follow the directions to the letter folks. I fought the bedbugs for 9 months before I found this stuff. They were gone within a month after I started using this product and I have had no more since. 4 weekly treatments and poof little buggers were gone. There is one thing that the product isn't truthful about. There is an odor. Of course I quarantined that bedroom and literally drowned the bed bugs but it does leave a lingering odor for a while. Didn't care though I was not throwing away a $1200 bed. The bug were being evicted! ... show more

  • THIS PRODUCT WORKED FOR ME!
I had an infestation in my small basement apartment. It was wall to wall carpeted. I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the bugs. I sprayed the inside, outside of the seams and around the legs of my furniture and bed. If there is a hole or any entry point - spray it or seal it off with duct tape. They are most likely hiding inside or coming out of it. (Make sure you spray the legs of your bed and furniture) Those little devil's like to climb up on everything. Move your bedding and furniture away from curtains. Bedbugs like to crawl on them to get to your bed and furniture. This will prevent them from reaching those infested areas. I also sprayed my carpet with the spray. They like to travel across those bad boys! Be careful if you have pets if you do this. Make sure the carpet is dry before you let them traverse the area. But, all in all - after a few weeks of spraying - I got rid of them. This Harris Bedbug product worked for me! I am a satisfied customer. ... show more
