  • Doesn’t move/roam
I’m so disappointed in this product. The first 2 times I put it in the pool, the vacuum would stop on 1 spot and barely move. It did pick up a little sand at the bottom. Ever since then, this vacuum doesn’t move when I put it on the bottom of the pool. It also has stopped sucking up anything. We’ve had it less than a month. I wish I could return & get my $$ back but it’s clearly been used. Such a waste of money. ... show more

  • Great time saver, does great job
The media could not be loaded. This little vacuum has been a great time saver! We have a 26ft above ground pool and the vacuum does a great job of keeping it clean. With two boys in and out of the pool there typically ends up being done debris on the bottom of the pool at the end of the day. We throw this vacuum in and in an hour or so it's all gone. Clean up is a breeze - just empty it and hose off, then we plug it in to charge. We haven't had any issues with it getting stuck at all and it even picks up fine dirt and sand. The hook attaches to our skimmer pole and makes removing it easy as it parks itself against a wall once the battery dies. I'm attaching a video so you can see it get started, though you won't really see it pick anything up because it's still clean from the last run! ... show more

  • Time saver, not perfect, but nice.
I have an above ground 24’ round, flat bottom pool. The vacuum does a good job of picking up leaves and small things with a little weight to them, however, it moves too fast and blows lighter weight debris about the pool, rather than sucking it up. There seems to be no rhyme or reason, the path it takes. Every time, there seems to be a small area that was missed, while other areas get traveled through more than once. I wish it would go around the pool, but it will only go back and forth. It sometimes gets stuck behind the ladder. Once vacuum has died, the pool settles again, and you can see some of the stuff that got blown around, has settled to the bottom again. You can definitely tell it’s doing a lot of good, but I do have to manually vacuum occasionally, if I want it perfectly spotless. I do like it. Saves me time. ... show more

  • Lame, doesn’t work right
Doesn’t work, runs a short circle, stops. After a full charge we placed it in our 24 foot above ground pool. It struggled to get the center. It kept veering off. Hardly would go straight across the middle. After battery died, it cleaned some but left a lot. Charged again placed it in. Would not move. Bumped it, slowly ran a while then just stopped with still plenty of charge. Ain’t no body got time for that! ... show more

  • Not Really Smart, but it gets the job done
This unit replaced a hose-based Hayward I have used for a few years, that used random circles, but it was no longer working well for me to get the whole pool. I was also sick of dealing with the hose and priming the old vac to get it going. I wasn't really sure how these cheaper robot vacs worked, but as it turns out, these vacs just use water pressure to push the vac from one side of the pool to the other repeatedly. The vac really gains some speed zipping across the pool bottom, and then it crashes into the other side of the pool, which causes it to open the valve on the other side and then zip back across the pool until it rams the other side again, and so on. The angle it does the next pass across is based only on how much the bump into the wall randomly knocked it one way or the other. So while not smart, per say, the constant crashes into the walls does seem to shift direction random enough that the job gets done and it gets all parts of the pool eventually within the charge time of the run. I am pretty happy with it, and the price was right at about $100. Replacing the Hayward would have been more like $200, but I much prefer this hoseless vacuum. For my first run the pool actually looked pretty clean before I started, but I was surprised how much this vac picked up, there seemed to be more stuff collected than I even realized was on the pool bottom. ... show more

  • Make sure your pool bottom is completely level and flat.
Works fabulously and then it doesn't . The slightest little change in the bottom of the pool stops it in it's tracks. Have to follow it around and push it to keep the pool bottom clean. Does suck the stuff from the pool bottom pretty well though. Just a bummer I have to be out there with it while it does its job. Was the whole reason for buying this so I didn't have to be. ... show more

  • Underwater paperweight
This things about as worthless as they come, for above ground pool, if you have one slight ripple or uneven part of the bottom this thing gets stuck, won’t move and just sits there. Definitely look for something else because this one’s not it.

  • It works well if the bottom of your pool is even close to being flat.
Amazing little machine! If the bottom of your pool is close to being flat, you'll be happy with this vacuum! It's totally worth getting for an above ground pool! I just LOVE mine...wouldn't trade it for any other!
