    • Poor battery life, inefficient after 1st use
Worked the first time. After each use it requires a new charge which takes about 7-8 hours. Second time it went around the pool but wasn’t as effective. Not impressed.

So this is working just fine and is even picking up pieces of pine back that get to the bottom. Only tree I have is a pine tree. My only thing is it seems to only run about 30 min but when I empty it I'm happy with the amount it cleaned but it still had more to clean. I have an intex prism pool so it picks up great on the bottom and less great around the edges since they are curved. Also the hook doesn't fit on my nets handle but no biggie I'll find another handle that works. ... show more

    • Cheap plastic, barely works.
This pool vacuum was a huge disappointment, and I realize it's inexpensive so my expectations weren't that high. But right out of the box, you can see that it's made a very thin plastic that doesn't look like it'll hold up more than a month or so. The handle that you have to screw in yourself and good luck figuring that out, even has a warning sticker on it reminding you that it's brittle, which it is. Also the charger has about the same power as a cheap phone charger that takes forever to charge. The real problem though is that once you put it in the pool, fully charged, it goes about 6 inches and then stops. And I don't mean for a few minutes. I mean indefinitely. You have to nudge it with your pool pole, which gets it going again but then it stops a foot or so later and does the same thing. Lather, rinse, repeat. As I said, my expectations weren't that high. First time use review with pictures. Bottom of pool was sandy and a million dead flies. Water is cloudy now but bottom looks clean. When you lift it out of the pool after cleaning, be quick, some residue does flow out back into the pool. My pool is 14 foot long, 7 foot wide and 4 foot deep. I pulled it out twice to clean it, still on first charge. Definitely ran over an hour because I forgot about it. ... show more

    • Does not do the job in a pool that isn't perfectly flat
Not suitable for above-ground pools. Gets stuck on the tiniest seam, bump, or twig. You'd need a perfectly flat bottom for this to work like it should. The vacuum function does seem to work well, if only it would move around like it's supposed to.

Junk. Gets stuck easily, barely picks up anything, wastes battery by staying in one place for a long time. Charging takes 3 hours and it only runs 1 hour, which would be fine if it would actually work. I should have just returned it. I would never recommend this product; I am typically screaming at it to MOVE. I have only algae at the bottom of pool, no sticks, leaves, etc....it can barely suck up algae. I don't know why I can not find a pool vacuum for an above ground pool that just works. ... show more

This pool robot vacuum is amazing! It was a deal at full price but with the $20 coupon it was a steal. We have a small above ground pool on a paver patio that's been decorated so it's really charming. We considered a built-in pool but we are surrounded by tons of high oak trees, in our yard & surrounding neighborhors trees. Even if we spent the $16k to remove our trees, the neighboring trees would've made it impossible to keep it clean. Even if we screened in a built-in pool, it would have been nonstop maintenance due to number if trees, limbs and leaves. We considered a jacuzzi, but you can't float & relax in one. So we got creative _ bought a 10ft round pool, about 3 ft. high. IT IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT fits two full size floats and we enjoy it all season long; however keeping if clean was a constant battle even with a cover... And then I found this pool vacuum. I used it the morning after it arrived, out performed expectations. Built well, not cheaply heavy, easy to take apart to clean. Our pool water is sparkling & the bottom is spotless! So easy to put together 75 minute battery, superior cleaning just a great value & helps make pool maintenance a breeze. More time to just float & enjoy. Now we have our own little backyard oasis.
