There are many possible uses for high density foam. I use it to store / transport astronomy equipment in hard cases. This requires that each item be traced over the foam and the foam cut with a hot foam knife. Typically, dense memory foam works best. Needed a replacement foam for a Pelican v800. It’s not the exact same density. But super, super close. The length and width is oversized, which is nice. Cutting to fit is simple. Will work perfectly at protecting important things. Will be buying again to have custom options for the case.

Very sturdy and dense foam. I bought 5” piece and 2” piece for project. Color for both said charcoal. The colors are not even close to the same. Thicker piece was dark gray (what I consider charcoal colored) and 2” piece was definitely black. Quite expensive.

bought this to add to rifle cases with poor padding (when you picked it up you could hear things sliding and rattling loosely) took some time to cut to shape, but this worked perfectly, now there is molded cushioning for everything in the case.
