Update: Aiper did reach out and took care of this issue. They did their best to make up for the inconvenience by offering a a refund which I declined. I did get the replacement unit and accepted a partial refund. I think the costumer service was good an made up for the initial issues. I purchased a refurbished Aiper Scuba S1 pool cleaner from Amazon because it was significantly cheaper than a new one. Unfortunately, I should have been more cautious. The unit arrived and worked fine initially, cleaning the pool effectively on the first day. However, it refused to recharge afterward. I tried all the troubleshooting steps—checking connections, outlets, and even testing the charger separately—but it was clear the issue was with the robot itself, not the charger. I contacted Aiper support, and they were quick to respond, which I appreciated. At first, they suggested sending it back for repairs, but after I explained it was a recent Amazon purchase, they agreed to ship a replacement refurbished unit once they receive the faulty one. That sounded straightforward, but I'm still waiting on the return process, and in the meantime, my pool is accumulating leaves and debris. It's been very inconvenient.

Best robotic pool cleaner. I was really impressed with the thrust that it has sticks to the wall really good cleans the tiny grains of sand or rooftop gravel that falls off the roof and goes into the pool. I'm really satisfied with my purchase.

I don't know about longevity but so far AIPER Scuba S1 is a game changer for my pool maintenance. I had just retired by once rebuild booster pump powered Polaris and was debating dropping what seems like an exorbitant for the basic cleaner which has been around for decades and seems to never get any cheaper. The Scuba has done a much better job than the polaris ever did and no more need to run the pool pump and booster pump for extra hours during leaf drop season. I also purchased a solar powered surface skimmer which I'm equally pleased with. Only downside is it seems to struggle with cleaning the walls [a lot of curves] but did manage about 80% coverage first time I used it. I mainly set it on bottom clean.

Excellent job on cleaning pool, keep in mind steps are problematic for all so brush those before starting robot. A little discappointed in the run time due to battery totally gone in about 90 minutes. Fully charged to 100% so it doeant live up to spec. Update :I wanted to update this review, after depleting the battery and re charging the unit over night it is now running about 25-45 min longer than spec. Im using the S2 Surfer and S1 Scuba and my pool never looked so good. These devices eliminated my 140 dollar a month pool service you can do the math on ROI Excellent !
