I replaced an older Aiper unit, that was only about $150, worked very well for two years, but only cleaned the bottom of the pool. My wife would say that I used it excessively. I purchased this unit for around $350 refurbished five months ago and it is fantastic, climbing up the walls, scrubbing the tile, and when the water level is high enough, it will actually go up and clean the sun shelf. Somehow it manages to get up and down the entrance stairs. As pictured, my pool has a fairly sizable, rectangular, hot tub, and I do have to drop it in there separately to clean that, but it does a wonderful job. It comes with a standard filter that will get most things, and then every 2 to 3 weeks, I use the included ultra-fine filter that gets sand and the finer impurities with ease. It is a little heavy, but doable, and I would highly recommend and certainly buy again.

Update: aiper customer service reached out and replacd my unit. The new unit seems to be working as advertised. Five stars for Great customer service. Old review: I have 15x30 15000 gallon pool and this does ok in picking up large debris. However, It does not remove Fine alge and usually clouds the water up. Battery could be better, it is good for only one cleanup and then must be recharged. Im somewhat satisfied but expected better performance.

I bought this Dec. 8, for $459, I gave it to my mom as a Christmas present Christmas Day. The pool had too much junk at the bottom for us to use at first. So we cleaned the pool ourselves until MARCH. It worked decent in March, coming April we didn’t use it as much. Only since it wouldn’t pick up stuff hardly and would turn off without being half full. Now the beginning of May last week it stopped working completely. Mind you I paid $459 for this thing to last 3 MONTHS?!? Now my mom texted them and they said they’re going to send me a repair bill😂. I can’t tell if this is a joke or if they’re just wanting to come up some $$ off a CRAPPY PRODUCT!!

Have had Polaris 280 cleaners for 18 years. Two completely new cleaners, each completely rebuilt 2-3 times, plus more frequent tires and geared wheels, plus bags, sweep tails, reverse valves, and two new pressure pumps. Add it all up and average it out and it's about $15-$20 per month for mediocre pool sweeping with the nuisance of swimming around the hose and occasionally having to untangle it. This Aiper Scuba S1 actually cleans my pool better than my weekly pool service at vacuuming my pool and way, way better than the Polaris. It is important to understand its limitations, which every cleaner is likely to have. It won't do my small circular spa that is 5' in diameter at the floor, much less the bench seat. It won't do the steps very well if you have it set to the walls, and not at all if set to floor only. That said, I don't have algae issues, but it hugs the wall all the way above the water line, so I suspect it would clean up light patchy algae but not a heavy build-up. Bottom line, if lasts more than two years, it's cheaper than the all-in cost of a Polaris with superior performance. I also recommend the factory renewed if available. Mine arrived and was indistinguishable from a new unit, from the packaging to the manuals and the unit itself.

Had a Beatbot that failed so needed a replacement. A bit leery ordering a refurbished unit, then after 3 uses it wouldn’t hold charge. So I submitted a return. While in the process of “looking” I kept using this unit and Voila, it started holding battery charge. So I kept using it knowing my return has been approved and had some time before I had to return it. In the meantime, my Beatbot finally got repaired and now I’ve been using and alternating both units. This Aiper is one bad ass pool cleaner. I dare say it’s actually better than my high end Beatbot. So for initial impression it is definitely 5 stars. I’ve since decided to keep it and cancelled the return. Time will tell if it fails and let’s see how the warranty is ( Beatbot on this part is top notch )

A few months ago I bought this product, and I noticed the battery wasn't lasting long enough. I mentioned it in my Amazon review without expecting anything in return; I hadn't even contacted Aiper. To my surprise, a few days later, I was contacted by Aiper customer service (Colin) who wanted to know what the problem was. He decided the best solution would be to replace the unit, and that's exactly what happened! Now everything is working perfectly. I've discovered a great product and an excellent company that supports its customers every step of the way.

Excellent job on cleaning pool, keep in mind steps are problematic for all so brush those before starting robot. A little discappointed in the run time due to battery totally gone in about 90 minutes. Fully charged to 100% so it doeant live up to spec. Update :I wanted to update this review, after depleting the battery and re charging the unit over night it is now running about 25-45 min longer than spec. Im using the S2 Surfer and S1 Scuba and my pool never looked so good. These devices eliminated my 140 dollar a month pool service you can do the math on ROI Excellent !
