At my age, I was tossing around the idea of a pool cleaner because I was getting tired of taking out and hooking up the vac hose, etc. I looked at a few online and decided on this one. Reading the reviews was convincing. It was costly when I was initially looking at them, but I received an email from Amazon letting me know that there was a Labor Day sale on this. It’s one of the best investments I have made. I am amazed at how it climbs the walls and scrubs the waterline up to the coping. It’s all programmable for walls., floor, etc. The cleaning it does is amazing. It also runs longer than the 180 minutes. Cleaning the filter is easy. I highly recommend this unit.

I have an inground 20 x 40 oval concrete pool 3 to 10 feet deep with one unique cutout near the shallow end steps. Arrived yesterday afternoon, took a quick look at the manual. It charged quickly, most likely it had a partial charge. I didn't install the app yet. I just pushed the power button and it went to AUTO mode which will vac the floor and walls. I remembered to take out the ultra fine filter since it said that could slow it down. It immediately went to work. Amazing to see how it climbs the walls and navigates overall. I let it run overnight since it said it would stop when it got to low battery. I fished it out with the supplied hook this morning. Sharing photos to show what a great job it did. It filled it's basket as well as if I manually vac'd into my pump basket. So overall initial impressions are awesome. This should handle all the routine vacuuming. I'm thinking I will only need to manually vac when I get heavy leaves in the Fall.

Frequently gets a flashing red light. I take it out of the pool, turn it off and on and check for obstructions. Repeat 3 or 4 times before it actually runs. Gets stuck on the steps. When it works it does a decent job but I have to check on it frequently. If it doesn’t get everything in one pass I have to wait for it to recharge and run again. Going back to corded pool robots. Would t recommend. UPDATE: after a few more times trying get this to work I feel that it is useless. Will be requesting a refund. Absolute garbage Another update: after leaving this review, Aiper reached out to me (I didn’t initiate contact) and sent me a new, slightly better model. I have only used it 4 or 5 times but so far it cleans pretty well and hasn’t gotten stuck. It also charges in 2 or 3 hours, which is great. I am wondering if the first one was just a defective unit, based on how much more smoothly this new one performs. So between their customer service (not only sending the robot but they have been very polite and helpful) I’ve decided to improve my rating. Because of the first one not working well I feel it wouldn’t be accurate to give 5 stars but since they went so far out of their way to help me I feel like 4 stars is appropriate. TLDR: great customer service. Replaced my first robot with a better model that works great.

After pool company failed to keep water chemistry balanced (new pool construction), my pool began to have the slightest of green tint. The 30 days after construction was done and the salt generator could be turned on. Rather than getting the water balanced, pool company added salt, brushed the salt from the bottom and 30 minutes later turned the salt generator on at 100% for the next 8 hours. To say the pool water chemistry was out of wack was an understatement. 4 days of running the pool and testing the water did little to remove the green tint. Turns out it was mostly silt and dead algae floating in the pool. In comes our Aiper Scuba S1. After charging fully I put it in the pool with the ultra fine mesh filter. It ran flawlessly. Going up the walls, scrubbing the waterline tile, and working its way around the floor, the Aiper Scuba 1 ran for the 3 full hours and cleaned our 20 z 30 pool. When done, the water was crystal clear, I was amazed. I opened up the filter basket and the ultra fine mesh filelter was completely a yellow-green color. This robot worked better than I expected.
