V3 is a keeper. Excellent Customer Service (Surprised)
UPDATE JULY 2026: Aiper reached out and offered to exchange my Scuba S1 for the newer Scuba V3. I took advantage of their offer and have been testing the unit. I find it resolves most of the concerns I had. The V3 is effective cleaning the pool walls as well as the pool floor. It takes its time working around the compound curving steps in the shallow end, but makes it around. For all the crud collecting in the pool, I leave it in the pool - you can set the day(s) you want it to run (3-4 on a charge) and it keeps it clean. I have not checked the power draw for charging yet, but will presume at this point it uses a lot less electricity than the 1/2 HP motor running 220v for the old Polaris... It's a keeper. I had used a Polaris 380 for over 20-years and found it to be an excellent cleaner for our 24,000 gal in-ground pool. It was a bit finicky after the chlorine worked on the parts after a while, but I was able to maintain it myself. I purchased the Aiper Scuba S1 in December 2025 and have used it for over 6-months now. I am very disappointed with the pool cleaner’s performance. It takes a lot of time to prepare and use the product each time, as compared to the Polaris which was pretty much set to run and check the filter bag a couple of times a week. The Aiper Scuba - - charge the unit for several hours - Insert filters and carry to the pool (a little heavy) - fish the unit out of the water (heavy), remove and clean the filter set (a messy job). - charge for several hours again. With a kidney shaped pool the Aiper Scuba is unable to climb walls without getting hung up on the steps at either end. The belly of the unit to makes contact with the curving step and the tracks continue to run, but make no contact to gain traction. We live in North Texas and the regularly pool picks up a lot of leaves and “crud” and we need the 3-micron filter used often to keep it clean. The filter set did a good job collecting fines although, but as noted, it is messy to clean. Aiper’s website did not have replacement 3-micron filter sets until just recently. They are currently priced at $50 plus shipping and with a recommended 30 uses, that can add up to a few hundred dollars a year for filters. I did find a compatible replacement from another online dealer for much less. I will either return to the Polaris ecosystem or try a Dolphin unit, of which I have heard good from a friend. ... show more

UPDATED REVIEW!!!! of “More frustrating than convenient”
UPDATE: Aiper read my review and immediately reached out with an offer to replace the Scuba S1 with a Scuba X1 unit. I agreed and can I just say I was completely BLOWN AWAY when I received the upgraded unit!! It super exceeded my expectations and works beautifully! And the customer service was INCREDIBLE!!! They were quick to respond and friendly in all communications, made the return of the first unit super simple and the new unit was delivered in a matter of a few days. From my experience, this is a company who genuinely bases their own success on the success and satisfaction of the consumer. I am both grateful and relieved my experience with Aiper turned out to be such a pleasant one. My review is mixed because there are things I like and others I don’t. I love that this pool vacuum is cordless. It’s nice to have a unit that cleans the walls as well as the floor. However our experience with it picking all the debris up effectively has been very disappointing and frustrating. It seems quite a bit of debris is left behind, especially in the area where it starts. It always begins with a full charge, on the floor only setting and by the time it’s out of charge, there is still debris on the floor. I stopped using the wall and floor setting because of the debris left behind. Then you have to pull it out of the pool to recharge it, making the pool cleaning a drawn out process which cuts into your pool enjoyment/swim time. We have a 15,000 gal pool which is supposedly covered by this series. We ordered this vacuum based on the reviews we had read prior…but I would not purchase this one again. Update: Poor customer service
Update: Eventually, they got in touch and sent me a shipping label to return my device for repair or replacement. They informed me when they received it. I wax optimistic. However, it has now been 2 weeks and I do not know when I will get my very expensive robot back, repaired, or a replacement. Unless something hapoens soon, I will stick with Dolphin in the future and advise my many, many pool-owning friends here inTucson to do the same. Original post: This worked very well for 8 months and then it just quit. I took good care of it, so I don't know what the issue is. My larger concern is that I am not getting help I should to have it repaired under its 2-year warranty. I got nowhere with their AI online warranty tool. Then I called and spoke to a live person who said I would shortly receive an email with further info. It never came. I will avoid this company and urge others to do so unless they step up and make it right. I will call them again and see what the deal is. Stopped working after ten months. UPDATE: Aiper sent a new replacement within a week.
Purchased Sept 8, 2025. The unit stopped working June 21, 2026. So, ten (10) months after purchase. The light turns solid blue to indicate a full battery charge, but the power switch does nothing. Because of this the app will not connect to the unit also. At first look, it appears the power switch has failed? Up to this point we have been satisfied with the Scuba S1 (2025). It didn’t do well in corners or on top steps, but apart from that it performed well. Also … it is imperative to make sure the power pins for charging are COMPLETELY dry before charging. The rubber boot does not adequately prevent water from seeping in. I always blow the pins dry prior to plugging in the charger. We returned comparable cleaners that did not perform as well as the Scuba S1. So, again we were satisfied with this cleaner. The unit came with a two year warranty. Customer service was responsive and promised to “create a (repair) ticket,” and send a return label (they pay for shipping) in a second email. So it looks like they plan for me to ship the unit back to them for repair. I’m glad I saved the box “just in case!” I will update this review with the result of Aiper service and repair. UPDATE: Within two days Aiper emailed a return shipping label. Within a week of returning the original for repair, (Aiper paid for shipping of both units), Aiper asked to replace the original with a new unit. Good customer service. They stood behind their product. Not much to complain about. We like the Aiper unit better than others we tried - for three reasons: (1) The coverage is better than others we tested, (2) The filter works better for fine particles, (3) it climbed the walls better. Pleasantly surprised going to cordless
I recently picked up the Aiper S1 cordless pool vacuum and have been running it side-by-side (mentally, at least) with my previous Maytronics Dolphin CC+. After spending some time with both, I’ve got a pretty clear take on how they stack up. First off, the biggest standout with the S1 is how well it handles the pool walls. It climbs and cleans them far more effectively than the Dolphin CC+, which always felt a bit hit-or-miss in that department. The S1 also seems to map the pool in a more intelligent way. Where the Dolphin often felt random—just bouncing around and eventually getting the job done—the S1 moves with purpose and covers the pool more methodically. I was initially skeptical about going cordless. I assumed battery power would mean weaker suction or shorter run times, but that hasn’t been the case at all. The S1 easily runs for about 3 hours, which is more than enough for a full clean, and the suction is strong. It consistently picks up a surprising amount of debris, and the included microfilter does an excellent job catching the fine stuff. Speaking of the microfilter—that’s another win for the S1. It comes standard along with the mesh basket, whereas on the Dolphin CC+ it’s an extra add-on. The only downside here is that the S1’s microfilter is a bit more tedious to clean. Not a dealbreaker, just a minor annoyance. One feature I didn’t expect to care much about but now really appreciate is the app. The S1’s app is solid and reliable, and the ECO mode is a great touch. You can set it to run a 45-minute cleaning cycle up to four times per week, which keeps the pool consistently clean with almost no effort. My Dolphin was the non-app version, so this feels like a meaningful upgrade in convenience. Price-wise, the S1 also comes in a couple hundred dollars cheaper, which makes the overall value even better. Bottom line: I’m genuinely impressed with the Aiper S1. Better wall cleaning, smarter navigation, strong battery performance, and useful app features make it feel like a step forward from the Dolphin CC+. The only real tradeoff is slightly more effort cleaning the microfilter—but for me, that’s a small price to pay for the performance and convenience gains. ... show more

Customer service was awesome
Aiper scuba S1 2025 upgrade Disappointed And FRUSTRATED One of the main reasons I purchased this model is that it had the 3micron filter and it was the upgraded model I really got excited when it got delivered open the very well packaged product plugged it in to make sure it was completely charged it ended up needing about a 1/2 hr charge to top off the battery & when the light was steady blue I took it out to the pool & put it in & it's in the pool for a few minutes (maybe about 5 to 10 minutes) & the light starts flashing yellow for like 2-3 minutes & then it turns red & then blue then it goes to the edge of the pool and stops so I lift this heavy ass robot out of the pool turn it off & on and the light turns blue put it back in the pool & after a few mins it starts flashing yellow then red & blue again. So I pull it out of the pool turn it off & check & see if anything is binding or obstructing it anywhere (there wasn't) It takes a few times of doing this before the light stays blue & when it stayed blue it seemed as though ran fairly well (thats until it got stuck by the steps) so I had to keep checking on it to make sure it wasn't stuck or the light wasn't blinking blue yellow & red One of the cons would be that it didn't really get everything in the 1st pass (like it is advertised) Now then again I have to lift this heavy ass robot out of the pool lug it over to the house charge it for like 3-4 hrs lug it back to the pool put it in the pool and keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get stuck & the light isn't flashing red yellow & blue again Now for the past week or so When I want to clean my pool it takes close to 1/2-1 hour trying to get it to work and when it does stay running it takes (about 1 to 1 -1/2 hrs to run its cycle) Then after all that time It doesn't clean on the first pass then I Lug it to the house charge it for 3-4 hrs lug it back Nicole put it in and go through that cycle again. Now don't take me wrong but I would think that after spending $620 on this unit and then for it to be flashing red, blue, yellow and not cleaning on the first run personally I feel that is a lot of time and money too have to spend to have the troubles I've been having Now I'm going to have to waste more gas & time out of my day taking & returning it. I've read good things & I've heard good things about this product well I guess I must have gotten a bad unit or something because I'm very disappointed & not a very happy person 🤨😤😡 Update I reached out to get a return label from this company & customer service I've got to say one the best customer service agents I've ever had a pleasure to talk to here on Amazon they really helped me and came up with a resolution that made me happy so let me just say thank you Aiper customer service. So I'd like to take a moment and thank Tonya for helping me out the way she did I might have said some rough things beginning of this review but after speaking with the company and this customer service representative we came to the conclusion that it is just a bad faulty unit I am very happy and I changed my Review from a ⭐️⭐️review to A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review thanks again Tonya & Aiper you're definitely an asset to this company so keep up the good work. I waited to write this review because I wanted to give an honest opinion based on my actual experience with the Aiper Scuba S1. Let me start with the positive: this is the best robotic pool cleaner I have ever owned when it comes to picking up small particles and debris. It does a really good job cleaning the bottom of the pool in the areas it can reach. However, unfortunately, it does not clean my pool completely or perfectly. My pool is not a simple square or rectangle—it has an unusual shape, with some areas deeper than others. Because of this, the robot does not reach every area. I regularly have to take it out and move it to different spots myself. The steps are another problem. It does not do a good job cleaning them. The hot tub area is even worse because it is circular, and the robot struggles to properly clean that area. So, in my opinion, if you have a simple square or rectangular pool with no steps or complicated areas, this robot could work extremely well. Unfortunately, for my pool, it does not meet my expectations. There are also some issues with the filter and build quality. The filter material comes loose and drops down while I am cleaning it, which is very frustrating. I ended up needing to buy two additional filters, and they are not cheap. That adds even more expense to an already expensive robotic cleaner. Finally, the paint/coating on the start button has already come off. I literally just touched/clicked the button with my finger, and the coating came off. For a robot at this price point, I expected much better build quality and durability. Bottom line: Great at picking up small particles, but it has significant limitations when it comes to pools with unusual shapes, different depths, steps, or circular areas. The additional filter cost and the button coating issue also make it harder for me to justify the price. Buy this today-you will be glad you did!
This product is truly a game changer for anyone who owns a swimming pool! Just go ahead and buy it right now! You will thank me later! I was hesitant about it because I always worry that electronics won't work , especially when purchased online. But WOW this is an amazing Robot Pool Vacuum! It functions with an easy to use app, so you can customize whether it just does the floor of the pool, or the walls. It scrubs and it vacuums, there's a basket that collects everything and you just rinse it out. It's all you need for your pool other than your chlorine! I was so happy to be able to throw away our bulky hoses and old school vacuum which always looked messy! And the company really stands by its product! Reached out to customer service for a little bit of an issue and they corrected it right away with such professionalism! So you can feel reassured that you will be covered with this purchase! And compared to other cordless pool vacuums, it's a great buy! I did lots of research before purchasing and I can say definitely made the right choice with this one from Aiper!
