First impression upon unboxing: “nice!” It’s not bulky. It feels nice in your hands. The scanner itself is rugged, solid. It doesn’t feel “sensitive”. The diagnostic cable is solid as well. Not some generic cheap cable like other scanners. First use was on an 2009 Mustang. VIN scan was fast. No lagging, no glitching during the scan or maneuvering through the different apps. The report is easy to read and understand. Typically it would show a detailed report if vehicle has check engine light on or scanner detects any other problems such as misfires, system too lean, or EGR flow insufficiency etc. There is also a DTC look up that comes in handy so you don’t have to Google search on your cellphone. Another thing that would be pretty useful if you work on multiple cars at once, is the diagnostic report history function. It pretty much saves all your scans, detections and reports for you. All in all, it’s a great scanner. The size is great. It’s convenient, useful, of quality and a reasonable price for all that it does. Oh, it also comes with a TPMS re-learn device that helps re-learn your TPMS sensors after being service. It’s cool to have if you work on your own vehicles. Definitely recommend!

The media could not be loaded. I received mines in the mail today and this piece of tech is amazing. This OBD2 scanner will work with any 96+ car. It read codes, check readiness for smog and more. This packed brought brake scanner, storage bag, charger, OBD2 connector and tpms for tires sensor. It came with instructions and it's super easy to use! I highly recommend this product. Just a quick reminder, that you will need to have a good wifi connection to set up the device for the first time. Also, you will need to register your device and all that info is not on the instructions but isn't not hard to do. This is a must have!

Good OBD2 for the money. Works well for the little jobs that I do around the house with the cars I have. Was able to updated it and been working fine before the update and better since the update. Can't ask for anything more for a DIY person.

The CRP123e is both a basic AND advanced scan tool. It does generic odb2 and steps it up like advanced readers with extended module access like the srs, abs and tcm units. But then for the prices takes it to a whole new level with built in features you can purchase later. (Assuming you come across needing them) This puts your cars modern electronics in your hands. Many newer cars require a scan tool to reset oil and maintenance lights. And even more require you to program in parts you've just replaced, some as simple as a brake job now a days! So you're able to take the CRP123e scan tool and add on even more powerful features at your leisure. There's no need to buy a super expensive scan tool that can do everything out of the box when you only need 1 or 2 things. Save money with a Launch 123e with having all the features most need and the ability to add on when needed. On my attached pictures I tried to show just how easy to was to pull computer codes, specifically I was after the ABS light but it also showed me pending codes as well I was unaware of. Literally a couple taps and it auto identifies your VIN, scans for available modules and then reads and pulls any codes they're store. In the end, the CRP123e is as EASY as 1 2 3, the way it should be when working on your vehicle.

I’ve used this product on a few different cars. Bought it because I needed something to bleed an abs pump. Works great for that and many other things. Does a lot of stuff I don’t even understand on it. Definitely a good purchase. Haven’t had any issues with it. Case is heavy duty as is the phones protector that it comes with. Glad I purchased it. Haven’t had to deal with customer service about it so that’s why it doesn’t have a height review in that area

The Creader VII+ works great. Great upgrade from a standard code reader. Start-up instructions are just terrible. Completely wrong in several places but I managed to get through it and update the TF card (not shown, or rather incorrect location shown in the manual) before first use. Seller was great and supplied an expanded manual in .pdf format. Once you have it set up you really don't need the manual but it is nice to have the reference. Just used it to learn what component is keeping an air bag system from working. This one use paid for the Creader when compared with what the dealer would have charged to perform a diagnosis. As for the TPMS device that was included, it is useless. Don't pay a nickel more for this. I don't know what cars it works on, but NOT Subaru, Hyundai, or Dodge.

I have had many scan tools over the years as a professional technician. This time I decided to try a different brand than the usual Snap on and Mac/OTC. I looked into Autel and Launch. They don't really explain very well what the tools do or do not do? I really liked the size of the Launch Diagun. The price was very good in comparison to most other brands. It activated with no problems and works very well. It seems like the scanner companies are upselling their scanners based on hardware not software. So the X431 platform works across all devices. I'm not 100 percent on that. I know the more expensive scanners brag that they have bigger and better displays. Faster processors etc. I don't care about that stuff. Does it do the job? YES. I am very happy and would not hesitate to buy the Launch X431 Diagun again.
