Here's an unbiased opinion from a regular dude...no BS & no coaxing by the vendor for a good rating (which drives me CRAZY like I'm sure it does you as well). My old halogen floor lamp finally bit the dust. Started smoking one day. Had to throw it out. Loved it. But an energy hog & only had 2 settings for brightness with the same color temperature as well. Technology has advanced a TON since that old lamp's days. So far this floor lamp is top notch. Love the color options. The "onboard" controls are "touch" type so you just tap it to turn it on & if you want to do some other settings you can there as well. The remote that comes with it allows for easier settings. Absolute bonus that you can just magnetically click it to the pole! Somebody used their brains to design this. Very cool. The packaging for this product was excellent. Efficiently packed & safe for delivery. I was impressed with that as well. Now for the one caveat. That being the wiring that goes through the pole which has to be screwed together. The wiring has to be stuffed inside the pole in order for it to be screwed together. However it's not easy. Took me a ton of time to figure it out safely. I was concerned by trying to jam the wire inside the pole, that it would be damaged. Basically the wire is stretched out between the pole sections & I found it difficult to cram it in without messing up the wire. Seems like it would be easy but it was problematic. Maybe I was missing a "clue" so to speak but the picture instructions don't really explain how to pull it off easily. The seller reached out & I let them know that they may want to revise the instructions to better help with the situation. Or maybe there really IS no "trick" & you just have to chance cramming the wire inside. One final note is that when I purchased this lamp the seller had just "opened shop" & is a Chinese entity operating in the States. I took a chance because their pricing when I bought it was a bit better than the competitors for this same lamp. Again, a nicely packaged item which arrived very quickly. As long as the "bulb" which is fixed and can't be replaced (it's an LED RGB device) lasts as long as it's touted I'll be happy. A nice lamp. It does in fact "dance" with music pulses as advertised. I probably won't use it much as such. But a cool feature none the less. I had good luck with the vendor. I hope you do as well. Just be prepared for a possibly frustrating assembly. ... show more

The lighting itself is really good , with multiple choices for brightness and how cool/warm you prefer it. BUT its design is weird and can negatively affect your room decor . It looks like ring light stand if you know what I mean. I am still thinking of returning it, but so far couldn't find a better choice with same functions to be honest ... show more

The lamp shorted out within three months of occasional use. The flat cover over the lamp fell off. Very poorly made, big waste of money. If I could rate negative stars it would get negative three at least!!

Not going to lie. At first I was having a hard time putting this things together. Because they had the forethought to put coverings on the inner wires so they don't get damaged. Once I figured that out, install was easy. Then I fell for the not so bright light that came on when plugged in. Put some batteries in the remote and fell in love. So bright. Fun colors.
