When I received the item I tried to test a refrigeration line set to about 500 PSI. I was struggling to apply enough force to move the regulator around 300 PSI, then the safety release blew out at 375 PSI which scared me when it happened. I couldn't get the pressure any higher without the safety release blowing out. I read from another review to adjust the safety regulator and apply a small amount of lubricant to improve the operation. I undid the handle and sprayed a few drops of oil into the assembly. I then undid the safety regulator nut and then screwed in the thread until I could achieve 500 PSI. This should really be spelled out well in some instructions if this is being marketed as a 600 PSI regulator. ... show more

Garbage. First one would not regulate outlet pressure above 330psi with adjustment at max and leaked out the pressure relief valve. The second replacement was even worse. Would not regulate above 150psi without continuously leaking from the regulator body.
