I ordered this little water heater for my son’s new above ground pool. I think I was probably being just a tad more optimistic than I should have. 3,500 gallons is a whole lot of water. I tested it out in an almost comically large kitchen bowl. -Important note if you don’t read directions- Do not touch the tool or the water while it is plugged in.!! I put it in the bowl for 5 minutes (I even set a timer.) I unplugged it to test the water. It was very warm so I put it back in for 5 more minutes. I unplugged it again and the water was nearly boiling after only 10 minutes. I think this would be great for a small kiddie pool or to have while doing something like over landing where you have an inverter or generator but no shower. ... show more

I originally got this in order to heat up shower water for my camper van, however 45 mins to heat five gallons of water to 104 degrees is way too long and too much of a drain on my solar generator. Guess that is not an issue with the product as much as an issue with my thorough reading and comprehension of the description. ... show more
