This immersion water heater was great when it functioned because you can set a specific temp, and then it automatically stops heating once it reaches the set temp. The disappointing thing was this only worked for two weeks, and now it kicks off the breaker every time, so the heater was not worth the $46.00 that was spent.

I ordered this on 10/15/24 . So I have used it ten times about a month. It did well heating up my porta spa. I don't think it's made of Stainless Steel. If you use this guy, rinse it off with fresh water, and possibly open the bottom and spray it down with some oil based protection. Catastrophic failure due to corrosion, my spa is lightly chlorinated. No salt. If I can't get a replacement element I will definitely look for stainless steel construction.

Meets advertised claims: Claim: POWERFUL 2000W HEATING: Swimming pool heater quickly heats up water to desired temperature. MOSTLY TRUE. This heater will heat up a swimming pool but in minutes, but those minutes will be more than enough to make hours. Claim: ACCURATE TEMPERATURE CONTROL: bucket heater equipped with LCD thermometer allows to monitor precision water temperature. FALSE. While there is an LCD thermometer during the testing of this produce the provided units thermometer was wildly inaccurate at all times. Claim: VERSATILE IMMERSION HEATER: Immersion water heater portable and submersible design makes it easy to use and convenient. TRUE: Even with a malfunctional thermometer, this heater still did a good job heating up our soaking tub of water. Claim: DURABLE AND SAFE: UL Certified features US plug, and 304 stainless guard True. These features are present on the provided unit. Claim: FAST HEATING FOR LARGE VOLUMES: Electric hot water heater can heat up to 5-20 gallons of water in minutes. TRUE. Provided the volume of water is closer to 5 gallons than 20 and starts around room temp, then yes it can heat it up in minutes. However, if it is closer to 20 gallons that is around 68F, it takes over an hour to get to "hot" Summary: At $45 dollars this is a pretty good buy. While it worked rather nicely, our unit will need to be returned because it came with a bum thermometer. It is a nonessential part of the unit but does limit some of it functionality. When reading other reviews be aware that if you do not allow this unit to cool down a bit in the water before you remove it and follow other instructions you will severely reduce its lifespan. Thermocycling anything is a pretty sure way to destroy it. This is a good product and worth the price it is current selling.

I just received and was excited to use this electric water heater. It worked well the first day, but on the second day, it just stopped working, It kept popping the circuit breaker off. I tried different extension cords rated for high AMPs and it kept popping the circuit. I tried different temperatures settings, and it would no longer allow me to set the temperature settings and pressing the set button it would pop off the breaker. I have no choice and ask for a refund. Oh ya, after one day it began to get rusted on the outside shell and dripped with rust. See pictures.
