I have fairly low ceilings so I was looking for something that wouldn't take up too much space. The light looks great, and having a small fan, it's surprisingly powerful at cooling off the room. It's not too loud - basically the same volume as a standard upright fan. It's pretty sturdy from what I can tell. I'm a bit obsessive so i may be more sensitive to noticing this, but it did come slightly "wonky" with the open center portion not being perfectly level across the whole opening. I love that it is almost silent while still giving me just enough white noise for sleeping. It has a remote, so that’s handy. I purchased this “ceiling fan” for my daughters new, big girl room. I read all the reviews on similar products and expected to be disappointed in the abilities of the fan. I decided to shift my expectations before it arrived so I would have a higher chance of liking it. And it worked. So, the good is that it seems like decent enough quality, my husband installed it, it provides a good amount of light, I think it’s cute and as a bonus, it has a built in fan that moves a little air! If you are looking for something to drastically change the airflow of your room, this probably won’t do much for you. The fan is not silent but I wouldn’t call it loud. It has a good amount of speeds and the controller is easy to work. The fan is most effective directly underneath the unit but does move some air around. Overall, I do like this light fixture, and I would recommend it if you understand that it’s less of a ceiling fan and more of a light. ... show more
