2 Minuses – and 1 BIG Plus

Minus #1 – quality control at shipping is lacking, with parts missing from the box. Minus #1 – the directions are horrible, with parts missing on the parts list and the parts photos, and instructions saying to use the wrong parts at places where they won’t fit at all. If you are not mechanically inclined, you may not be able to assemble this. The instructions, the parts list, and the parts photos need a complete rewrite – by a native English speaker! The Big Plus – their online customer service was excellent. They were fast (replies withing 12 hours) and accurate, and shipped the missing parts quickly. Their good customer service changed my review from 2 stars to 3. If the two issues above are fixed, they would then earn 5 stars. ... show more

This thing is junk, cylinder mount snapped on first use with very little pressure on it. Do not buy!!!!!! Amazon you need to have a better vetting process, weld was over heated and led to structural compromise. You are all luck I wasn’t hurt. Formerly certified D1 welder in multiple positions and this is the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. You lost a long time Prime member today if this isn’t resolved in the next 24 hours ... show more

Hardware to assemble is very cheap.

I bought this because my one ton Harbor Freight engine lift did not have a long enough arm to pick my engine out of my 57 Chevy. This hoist is similar to the Harbor Freight model but the fastening hardware is not as good. Also, although very similar, it just does not seem as well made. It is mich cheaper and since I only need to use it once.i can live with it. ... show more

Thin metal. Bad welds. Casters on boom end and center do not swivel as advertised. Hydraulic cylinder was low on fluid.
