This is a really nice toaster. One thing I always disliked about toasters in general was having no idea when the toast would be ready....having a digital timer display negates all of that....you know exactly how long is left. I tried this on regular bread first, on setting 4, and although I discovered that setting 3 is probably more to my liking, the slices were very, and I mean VERY, evenly toasted on both sides....by far the most evenly toasted bread by any toaster I've ever owned. The control buttons are easy to push without the toaster sliding across the countertop, and the lever has a nice feel to it - it's hard to explain, but once you try it, you'll understand. The crumb tray is reasonable easy to access and remove, which should make keeping this clean fairly easy. I wish they had better power cord management channels or clips on the underside, but not a big deal at all. The slot cover is nice, but it kinda feels unfinished....it's difficult to pick up because the metal is slippery and there's no texture to help with grabbing it, and when installed, it doesn't perfectly match the curvature of the top of the toaster, but this is an aesthetic concern, and I suspect many people wont use it anyway (this is the first toaster I ever had that came with a slot cover). I just wanted to mention this in case it's a deciding point for someone evaluating this toaster. It does the job, it looks ok, but not perfect. Other than that tiny detail, this is a great toaster!

I took a while before I did a review on this toaster, because I wanted to put it through its paces a bit before I gave my 2 cents. The heating elements on this are pretty standard, so nothing to write home about. They function well and make great toast. But the day-to-day use is excellent. You won't really need to read the manual for this, but that's not why it shines. Selecting a doneness level is as as easy as hitting one of the more progressively orange spots on the screen. Those roughly correspond to the settings you'd normally find on a dial on a toaster like this. What is special is that you get a countdown timer. When I'm making a breakfast with a lot of dishes (bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, eggs, toast) one of the hardest things to time is the toast. It is always best when it's the last thing cooked, and its crunchy on the outside, but soft in the middle. This toaster makes that easy. Thanks to the timer, I know exactly when it's going to be done. Even when I'm just making toast, the color is perfect, and it fills the kitchen with the aroma of freshly toasted bread in the morning. The slots are plenty thick to fit homemade bread or bagels, and the lifter makes it easy to retrieve the slices. No complaints here!

My partner has been asking for a toaster for awhile; he's not a fan of using the toaster oven. I agreeded to get us one if I could find one with a small footprint, since our kitchen counters are full enough as is. This toaster doesn't take up much space, which makes me happy, but its not the most powerful toaster. We first tried toasting a bagel on the medium toast setting. The bagel was warm, but not what I would describe as toasted by any means. Next, we tried a fresh bagel on the second highest toast setting, and it got a little bit crisped up, but still didn't take on any color. To really get your bread toasty with some nice brown coloring, you just have to just right to full power. If you want DARK toast, you're going to have to use the highest setting and then run a second round of toasting on a lower power. Overall, this is a lightweight, basic toaster, and it will get your bread toasty eventually, so what else do you need? I also noticed it will occasionally launch your finished toast comically high in to the air when it's done, which I see as a bonus.

I never thought I’d be this excited about a toaster, but this Consciot model has completely upgraded my morning routine. The first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful stainless steel design and the smart touchscreen. It feels like a high-end gadget on my counter! The digital countdown timer is a lifesaver because it takes away the guesswork—you know exactly how many seconds are left until your breakfast is ready. It also has six different shade settings, so whether you like a light golden brown or a heavy crunch, you can get it perfectly right with just a quick tap. Performance-wise, this toaster actually delivers on its promise of even heating. I’ve noticed that both sides of my bread come out a uniform golden color, which is a huge improvement over my old one that always seemed to burn the edges. The slots are extra-wide (nearly an inch and a half), so I can easily fit thick bagels or artisanal sourdough without having to jam them in. I also love the "high-lift" lever; it pushes the bread up high enough that I don't have to risk burning my fingers to get smaller slices out. Maintenance is just as easy as the operation. It comes with a removable tray that catches all the crumbs, a built-in cord wrap to keep my counter looking tidy, and even a dust cover for the top when it’s not in use. It feels very sturdy and safe, made with high-quality stainless steel that doesn't give off any weird "new appliance" smells when it gets hot. If you're looking for a reliable, stylish toaster that handles everything from frozen waffles to thick-cut toast, this is a five-star winner!
