Good running/walking light, not a good task light.
Item Package Quantity: 2 Color: Orange Red
Bought this specifically for running at night where being seen is more important than seeing. Works great for this and I'm more than satisfied with my purchase. I would not recommend this as a task headlamp (see below). Pros: Secure fit, lightweight on the head and doesn't bounce while running, just bright enough to see around 20 feet in a wide swath but will generally use the brightest option, has 2 brightness and a flash setting, has rear facing bright red LEDs to not get run over. Affordable Cons: With no direct beam it's hard to directly work on something in front of you in the dark. For example, it's not useful for working on a car engine or under the sink, anything where you need to see one thing in front of you clearly. I almost always use the brightest setting as the dim one is meh. Since it's flush with your head you get some big glare from the light just above your eyes and reflects off my glasses. I got used to it, but a little annoying. ... show more

Bought for Running
Item Package Quantity: 2 Color: Orange Red
With my work schedule, I have to start my runs at 4:45 in the morning. In July when twilight starts around 5 AM that's not a big deal, but now that it's getting late in the year my runs are finishing before the sun starts to peak up above the horizon. I wanted a light to both help me see the path ahead of me as well as for the safety aspect of helping others to see me. And just this morning the overcast sky hid any light from the moon or stars, so it was a dark morning to run. I love how this feels on my head. I wear a headband when I run and this goes over that easily and does not cause any slipping. And as I'm running I'm not feeling any bounce in it. In fact, except for the fact that it produces a good light in front of me it's really easy to forget it's there. I gave it a full charge when I received it (despite showing almost a full charge when it arrived). I use it on six to seven 1-hour long runs before needing to charge it again. An empty to full charge takes less than 2 hours. It produces a good amount of light. I run by some open areas and usually have my head up so I got "spotlight" the path in front looking for the glow of eyes from some wildlife. On one run it helped me spot some glowing eyes about 15 yards ahead. At 10 yards I realized it was a skunk and I had plenty of time to take a wide berth around it. That alone was worth the price of the product. ... show more

The COSOOS LED Headlamp Rechargeable Flashlight has become my go-to flashlight for about everything.
Item Package Quantity: 1 Color: Black
I purchased these originally so my family could go on walks with each other in the winter dark evenings without fear of getting run over. They are great for that, but since they are hanging on a hook right by the back door, I find that I grab them for almost any flashlight need. I use them as hand-held lights and area lights. I have wrapped them around my wrist and tied them to poles. They are quite bright and very adaptable because of their flexibility. Only wish you could turn off the red rear light separate from the front light as the red light is a little distracting in some cases. Still extremely useful, though. ... show more

So far so good, with one DIY fix
Item Package Quantity: 2 Color: Orange Red
I just love these LED strip lights, they are the best for good broad lighting in a dark place. No big lense with a narrow angle sticking out of your forehead :) Previously I had a similar product but it stopped charging and there is no obvious fix. Tried this one because it was cheaper and so more of a disposable. So far I'm happy with it's operation and design, great value for the money. After reading the reviews I did a preemptive fix for the common complaint of the wire pulling/disconnecting from the LED strip. I squeezed some Gorilla Clear Grip into both sides of the rubber sleeve that covers where the LED strip connects to the power wire. Hopefully I've prevented this failure by cementing the wire in place. ... show more

These are nice to use -- while they last!
Item Package Quantity: 2 Color: Orange Red
I often run and walk outside and appreciate having a headlamp with the wide coverage this one has. It is not as bright as I hoped for directly in front of me, so it is better for walking than running. The battery indicator is useful (I hate having batteries run out in the middle of an excursion), but I notice that it goes from 50% to 0 very quickly. Still better than normal batteries which stop working without warning. The main problem with these is that they have both broken after 6 months of intermittant use. The first one broke several months ago (the wire pulled out) and the last one broke just now (no obvious problem, but the front light just doesn't light... only the back one). I think the wire connection between the battery and the front lite is just too weak. Perhaps it can be fixed with some soldering... I'm not too good with that sort of thing. If they design one without the exposed wire, I'll try these again. ... show more

Love this item

I love this style of headlamp, and the fact that it is rechargeable puts it over the top. What's great any this style is the lighting is broad and bright, but lightweight on your forehead.
