This provides nice illumination when I walk the dog - giving me a sense of safety from cars and better seeing my dog's activities. It fits comfortably around my head and is easy to turn on/off. The one downside is that I have to recharge the battery about twice a week. That wouldn't make it useful if I took it camping. I work at a mechanic shop where every pay week a representative from MAC shows up to sell us tools and whatnot. We all decided to buy a headlamp that was dubbed “the best”. Well, personally it wasn’t. The light strength was phenomenal but the only problem was it was bulky and heavy and ultimately hurt my forehead! It would leave a mark so I only used it for it’s magnetic capabilities. Now, this is where this headlamp comes in. ITS 100% BETTER! It’s so worth the $$$ and it has the same strength of my bulky headlamp! This one is super comfy and it doesn’t shift down to my nose or up to my scalp when I’m getting under vehicles. Just got it so haven’t put it through a thorough test yet. OK function so far with a few concerns. Wearing it for 20 minutes on high broad beam, the band feels warm against the forehead. Not a problem at that duration, don’t know what an hour or more would feel like. The broad beam is adequate, but I thought it would be brighter. For inside the house or shop it is well suited. These headbands have 3 settings. Super bright, less bright and flashing. I live on a dead end road that is super dark and creepy at the end, and of course that’s where my dog likes to go at night, so I needed something bright enough to see and help it not feel so ominously dark. These lights certainly are bight, however I feel when left on the brightest setting start to lose power after about 20 minutes. They still had power but the brightest definitely dropped enough to be noticeable. Also, the power button doubles as a tail light, so to speak. These are great if your walking along the road at night. People will see you coming or going. The flashing setting doesn’t get used in my household but I can see how it could be a helpful feature in an emergency setting. ... show more

These are great. The back light is wonderful, for people to see. The front light works great for the immediate up front needs. It's not the most comfortable in bare skin but totally fine over a hat. Durable and holds a good charge. I recommend.

I bought these for my partner as a present - they are so Fantastic that we ordered two more times! I recently used these for a late night hike in the White Mountains in NH. It was pitch dark, under treeline so no moonlight. These were incredible. I met a couple hikers on my way up, who were hiking down, and they said they thought they were nearing the trailhead parking lot because they thought my headlamp was car lights.
