They have a ton of depth, amazing looking. I have to give it 3 stars because despite having a lot of experience with scales, I still had one blow apart on me while pinning to the handle. I think the material is a little more brittle at the swirls, unfortunately. Had to purchase another set to finish off a knife. This stuff shattered on the 1st hole drilled I thought maybe I could fix it by adding a piece of wood and joining it for a two tone look second hole it broke in half absolute junk

The scales will be beautiful once they are cleaned up. They came very dirty, sticky, and scratched. Looked like they had been laying around a shop for years. Once we are done with them though they will be beautiful.
