We bought these for our light/fan bulbs. Instead of screwing the fan lights into a light socked we used these to put the light fan anywhere we needed them. They are great to have also to put lights where you need them. We liked them so much we bought them 2x’s.

For the price, pretty well constructed. I like the smaller footprint of these vs. a regular light socket that needs a box to work. I used them for a VBS project and they worked perfectly. Thank you.

These are about as simple as it gets for a lighting fixture. Socket, cord, optional switch, and optional mounting bracket or soft pad. The plugs are polarized, which is good so you don’t accidentally fry an LED bulb. Old filament bulbs didn’t care how they were plugged in, but the socket should always be neutral/common, and the bottom center has the positive/hot contact. That’s exactly how these are wired, so only real thing that could go wrong with such a simple design didn’t. I picked these up to make a grow light for a plant that had to come inside for winter. It didn’t acclimate to its corner of the room, so now it has its own personal sun. I simply took all the leftover extensions I had from installing light fixtures, made 2 equal length posts out of them, then rammed the included drywall anchors into the ends. For the fixture itself, I had to drill 2 small holes for the provided mounting screws to pass through. Once screwed into the poles, the drywall anchors expanded and locked the whole setup together. Stuffed the legs into dirt, plugged it into an outlet timer, and the plant should thrive through winter. As for using it as a minimal desk light, it makes me nervous to have line voltage that low and close to a place I sit. Like it’d be 1 coffee spill away from a disaster. With small kids in my house, it’s not worth setting up in that way. Now if a desk had an elevated back or shelf to set it on, that could work well. Just no easy way to seal the base, which is fine as long as you treat the base like an open outlet.

The media could not be loaded. This is a good, basic light socket and cord combo, perfect for standard household LED or 65-watt or lower incandescent bulbs. The design is simple and clean – just what I was looking for. The black finish blends in well, and the base is surprisingly stable, so I don't have to worry about it tipping over. I especially appreciate the long 15-foot cord, which gives me a lot of flexibility in placement. The bulb screwed in easily and feels very secure; it sits perfectly straight in the socket with no tilt. The on/off switch operates smoothly and quietly with no annoying clicks. The fluid action feels much nicer than some cheaper switches. My only minor wish is that it was made of ceramic and could handle higher-wattage bulbs. I mistakenly tried to use my 135-watt spiral photography bulb, which obviously isn't safe, but that's my fault for not checking the specs! However, for my typical 9-watt LED bulbs, it's absolutely perfect. Check the wattage of your intended bulbs, not the equivalent. A nice bonus is the included bracket, which allows you to mount the socket to a wall or ceiling if needed. Lightweight screws and anchors are included, though some may want to upgrade these. Overall, if you're looking for a simple, reliable, and affordable light socket for LED bulbs, this is a solid choice. Just be mindful of the bulb wattage limitations.
