I’m not sure if I would have picked velvet tufted again, but I like it enough. It took time to build, but instructions were straight forward. First of all it arrived almost 5 days than anticipated which was a great surprise, been looking for a velvet cream colored bed like this for a long time and never seems to be in stock at other websites, this is not cheap but it is a good value, the height is perfect at 53.5 inches for the headboard, there are other choices at 50 inches but it would have been too short, my other fear was that the upholstering would be too flat but it is just perfect, the connection between the two headboard large pieces seems flimsy at first but it stabilizes once the side panels are added, I do not like the silver or any color buttons on the side panels but there are few choices without those and this same style/color and height, I also wanted to use my box springs and the only way to do that without affecting the height of the mattress was to not assemble all the slats in the middle and not use the side metal leg supports, I just made two pieces of flat wood 4in l x 14 in Height and a 1/2 in W with holes for the screws in lieu of the provided metal side legs, it is a tight but but perfect fit for the box springs and mattress, overall we are very happy with the final result and just wish I had seen this product before on amazon. ... show more

The bed is cute and easy to assemble. Durability and quality are low. You get what you pay for. I leaned my knee on the footboard not but weight. And it caved inwards like cardboard on the second day :( I cover it with the comforter so you can’t tell. So I am updating my review as the seller reached out and was helpful in getting my issue resolved. I was advised that this could have been damaged in transit. Original: Want to like this but disappointed that it’s damaged after taking a bit to arrive. Theres is a big chunk missing from the side 😔 otherwise it’s nice fabric/color/style. Update: they sent a new piece quickly and customer service was great! Sturdy and seeming to hold up well so far.

Easy to put together just time consuming, however what else do you expect for something so sturdy ! Nice fabric on the headboard and I love how there was consideration for the back gap on headboards incase you don’t have a thicker mattress. Doesn’t need a box spring but can use one !!
