This is a very well made, heavy cable, feels like at least 12 gauge wire, maybe even 10 gauge wire. Not the thin cables I have seen for sale, this will easily handle the current needed by a 50-watt mobile radio. The cable is about 2 feet long, maybe a bit less, so it works great for a cable from a base station power supply to the radio. If used to connect the radio to power on a vehicle-mounted radio, the cable may be too short for that, depending on how close your radio is to the vehicle's fuse box or power connection. The cable has ring loops already attached to fit the connectors on many base station power supplies, and the plug on the radio end of the cable fit the power plug on my Motorola PM400 perfectly! It even comes with a tethered cap to cover the radio end of the cable when the cable is not in use. The price of this cable is very reasonable for the quality. It has a fused positive wire and has a 15A fuse pre-installed, it also comes with a 20A fuse that you can swap out for the 15 A fuse if you need more power. I am very happy with this cable and ordered a couple more to have as spares in case I hook up a second radio.

I have a 94 Plymouth Voyager in just mint shape. I bring it to cruises and car shows, and it's actually quite popular, thank you very much. Hunter Green with the Gold effects package, in 94 you would've been a BALLER driving this thing around, lol. Anyways a Chrysler product doing Chrysler things, I have a parasitic draw somewhere and after a week, my battery's flat. I installed this on the new battery I put in, and plug a battery maintainer into it keeping my battery charged. Very well made and the wires seem thicker than needed. Also has an in-line fuse, cool.

I got these for a Yamaha ATV most people get them to use battery maintainers, I didn't as most all maintainers boil batteries and kill them but these let me jump start with the proper connection but The main reason is as an additional power outlet for additional tools or a portable power supply.
