I have previously used white mattress covers so that they can be bleached clean. These dark gray covers don't show dirt or stains because of their color so I can just through them in the wash machine with normal clothes. They are easy to put on the mattress and the elastic is strong and holds it in place. I have tested it for water resistance and it was completely resistant when new. After putting it in the washing machine once, the top gets damp, but it does not make it's way through the cover to the mattress.

The media could not be loaded. It’s not noisy and it is water proof only at the top of mattress not around since it’s only like a mesh fabric. I believe if the plastic were to get ruined it would probably leak through . I haven’t washed it yet so I’m not sure if the heat will ruin the plastic. Fits perfectly as well .

I loved the fact that these were grey instead of white to cover sectional cushions in family room. They’re very durable; however, be careful when you launder them. I followed the instructions, but still the waterproof layer stuck together in places and was not easy to get apart-mostly near the corners.
