This package includes two fine mesh strainers. They look nice and work fine. They have nice looking handles on the top of the strainer that allow you to hang on the the strainers while running water or anything over the stuff in the strainer. The mesh is fine which keeps all the good things and allows the water to run off. There are small metal “feet” at the bottom of the strainer, so you can sit it in a pot or the sink and the feet allow the liquid to run off quickly. My only concern with this strainers is the way the mesh has been hooked to the upper rim. The mesh is somewhat “moveable” meaning you can use your hand to push the mesh. No problems right now, but the lightness of the mesh and the way it can slightly move might cause issues later on. ... show more

    • Good strainers but cleanup a slight issue
These are both light and sturdy strainers, no bending or twisting, hold up well and easy to weights and foods. An issue is the strainer itself, the holes are rather tiny, so draining is a little slow. Plus, cleanup is a little tougher or longer, especially with pastas, they gunk up the holes and takes a bit to clean them out. Says stainless steel and we'll see how they hold up. I've seen those claims before, only for a few months later for spots of rust to appear here and there. Time will tell. ... show more

    • Think about your colander needs first
There are pros and cons to this set. It's light weight, the fine mesh means you won't lose food through the holes as you are draining. You could possibly even use these to sift (in a pinch if your small fine mesh strainers). It's 18/8 stainless and has a lifetime warranty. The set is handy when you sometimes need two so you don't have to rush something out to use for another food item, plus they stack which is always, always helpful. The cons is unlike a more heavy duty sheet metal colander with holes stamped in it, the mesh can be damaged if you're rough with it (well, my heavy sheet metal colander has a small dent too, but...). The feet do their job, but I would have liked heavy, thicker, more solid feet, perhaps a smidge higher too when my sink doesn't drain fast. Mesh isn't as easy to clean if you don't have a strong sprayer. ... show more

This set of strainers is a very good value for the current price of $16. I like having the two sizes that neatly stack together. I often need two strainers when cooking a large meal for a big family. They are well made and will be sturdy under consistent use. They are lightweight and an attractive design. My only critique is that they are a step down in quality from say an upscale cooking store.
