5000mAh battery gives more time between recharging; See my advice below. ___I have been "sold" on lights like this one for a while. If I like the general look of a lamp, I check for three specific features: (1) Is it the right height for the location I have in mind? Because too tall on a coffee table or night stand can cause it to be knocked over easily, while too low and it may not cast enough light where I want it. This is a judgement call for YOUR intended use. (2) Does it have warm/neutral light color available? Because generally that is the color I prefer--you may prefer a "white" (blue) light. (3) Most importantly, is the battery at LEAST 4000mAh? This is because I don't want to recharge frequently. ___This pair of lamps fits all three criterion. The additional feature of dimming is useful in some situations. ___A 5000mAh battery should be enough to provide a longer time between charging. ___ADVICE: If you start accumulating some of these lamps, you might consider where your recharging will occur--It's Murphy's law that implies any lamp will need a recharge at the "worst" time. If you have a long usb-c charging cord, you might be able to plug that in and keep using it where you've placed it. If you only have the relatively short cord these come with, you'll have to move the lamp to a different location (e.g. lose the lamp just when you wanted to use it). This is true for ANY re-chargeable LED lamp. My advice: Get one LONG USB-C charging cord to have around when this happens. ___The color of these lamps: I have changed the color of some lamps like this with spray paint (covering the lights and the controls) when necessary, so know that if the color of this gold is not as you hoped, you could alter it. It was acceptable to me. ___I hope this review helped you.

This is a pair of gold coated rechargeable lamps that are excellent for power outages, camping and emergency use. As desk type lamps, they are very good at projecting down a good bright light. Easy touch on and off, along with brighter and darker settings. Gets down to a nice low light and up to a good reading light. Charge lasts a good long time. The gold shade color is bright and easily seen in the dark. Lightweight and easy to carry for camping and in the car.

I recently got a set of lamps similar to these to put on my night stands. My son loves them so much he takes them to his room to play with every day, so I decided to get new ones so he could have one of the sets for his room. I thought I wasn’t going to like this set as much as my other one but it turns out I like it even better! They have a good weight to them and you have to assemble the pole and attach the light which was very easy. The touch sensor is on top only which I also wasn’t sure about because the lamp is so tall at its tallest height, but the pole has two pieces that attach to it so you can customize the height and make it shorter in case you have a tall nightstand like I do and can’t reach it at its tallest. This helps so I can reach the touch sensor without having to get out of bed to do so. My favorite thing about these lamps is the light shines from the top and the bottom so you have a really good amount of light. I wanted these so we can read in bed at night and our recess lights that are very bright won’t hurt our eyes while we read. They have 3 different color options and are dimmable, so I can get them just the right setting for reading in a soft light that won’t be too harsh on my eyes or too dim to see my book. They’re pretty small compared to what you normally see when you get a lamp for an end table or night stand, but this is a good thing for me because my nightstand is not very wide or deep. I feel it’s important to note the size however for those who are looking for large lamps for large tables, because if your purpose is decoration rather than function, these might look silly on a large table. They’re more the size of a desk lamp. They’re perfect for me though and I love them!

I had just eaten in a restaurant that had these types of lamps on every table. I thought they were so cute that I wanted to try them at home. These lamps come with two metal poles for each lamp, so you have the option to keep them short or make them tall. The button on the top of the shade turns them on, adjusts the brightness, and selects what color you want: warm, cool, natural. You long press in order to dim them up and down. The only thing I really don't like is the visible black drawing in the center of the shade. It sort of gives away that these are rechargeable lights. Thankfully! No remote control. You control the lamp entirely by hitting the top of the shade. (I'm getting really sick of every rechargeable light bulb and other rechargeable lighting device coming with its own remote control -- I now have over a dozen of them sitting in a drawer and reeking havoc every time I try to turn on just one item.) I also like that the USB port is hidden under the shade. A red light indicates that the lamp is in charging mode. I'm not certain yet of the battery life but I will update my review after I've had a chance to leave them on for an evening.
