It looks great at first but didn’t last very long. It’s badly rusted and now looks like an eyesore. Considering this fire pit is much more expensive than others, I would not recommend it because it has to be replaced within a year.

We purchased this August of last year 2020. We had it covered every time it was not in use. It was great the first several months but over time the screen cover began to deteriorate. It is now to the point where it is just falling apart and it now has a large gaping hole in it. Rust everywhere!!!! Sadly it has not even lasted 1 year. POOR QUALITY..... UPDATE: I contacted Sunnydaze and got outstanding response from their customer service representative. They will be replacing our rusted out pit with a new one.

So far, so good. I purchased the Sunnydaze 34 Inch Steel Cauldron Fire Pit ten weeks ago. I have had profuoundly bad luck with other fire pits cracking or corroding. Approximately one dozen fires later, the fire pit is in great shape and looks new (I use a cover, too).

So far so good.. direction to put together were easy .. sits securely, doesn't rock.. it's light, and deep.. haven't burned any wood yet.. I knew it would come with a slight gold hue on it, no problem.. I simply spray painted a flat black rust proof coating to fix it and to help give it more protection.. So far I'm happy with it and can't wait to start some fires

Box was extremely damaged when it showed up and there is a big dent and scratch in the side of the kettle. Trying to determine whether or not it is worth the hassle of returning it or not. Certainly not worth $200 after someone beat the crap out of it. Extremely upset and disappointed! My advice would be to get something like this where you can inspect it before your purchase. Update: Sunnydaze contacted me and offered a replacement, unsolicited! Great customer service. I actually like the unit, I was just terrible upset with it being damaged and didn't want to go through the hassle of having to return such a large, bulk item. However, they have instilled home in me. Hopefully the replacement won't be damage as well. I believe they're using a different carrier this time around. Stay tune for additional postings!

Love it. Nice and deep. Very sturdy. I like that the cauldron sits in the legs. The legs on our other pit were attached and rusted through and came off over time. That won't be an issue with this one. The only thing I don't like is the handle on the lid, wish it was more substantial and upright instead of hinged and flops from side to side. No grate included, in case you are looking to grill on.

It actually has yellow paint on it that doesn't show up in the pictures on the amazon page. It's a lot more obvious sitting here looking at it. I suppose it's to give it texture and a certain look, but.. it doesn't look that great honestly. I'd rather it just be black. Still, all in all, it looks ok and we'll give it a shot at our fire pit. We'll see in a couple seasons if it holds up. Trying to find a good cover for it.

Cauldron doesn't heat up well. It does not radiate the heat at all. The only way to feel the warmth is to stand directly over the pit which defeats the whole purpose of sitting around a fire. Also the support ring and legs are not bronze looking. They are cheap brass/gold color. To the seller's credit the return process was extremely easy and quick. The two-star review is for the cauldron only. I give the seller a full five-stars for standing behind their product and being very easy to work with.
