One thing that sets these lamps apart from others is that there is only one color temperature (warm white). Since these are accent lamps, that is probably the temperature most people would want. It is more convenient since with other models you need to cycle through three temperature options each time you turn it on. The lights are not too bright at maximum (again, probably what most want in an accent lamp). They are certainly bright enough to read a menu by (at close range). The brightness can be adjusted until it is barely "on" for a nice mood effect. The lamp "remembers" the brightness setting and turns back on at the same level. It has a large battery, which claims 5000 mAh, but I got about 4300 mAh in my testing. Still a lot of juice, though. It take a little less than 8 hours to recharge from dead. Charging is via USB-C. The base is nice & heavy, preventing accidental tipping. Bottom line: Nice accent lamps. Not for reading or general lighting, though. ... show more

7-3-24 This is the third type of rechargeable outdoor lamp I've had and so far the best. The battery life allows me to have it on 1 to 2 hours a night for 7 days before recharging it, and not that it has died, I just think that it's time to recharge. I really like the up and down lighting on this substantially well built rechargeable lamp. Not only does it give you some lighting reflected off the ceiling but the white light diffuser makes it easier to see the touch sensitive area in the dark. Having a touch lamp instead of a manual button makes it easier to fumble around in the dark to turn it on than trying to find a button. The touch sensor area is towards the center on the top of the lamp. The shade and the post are made of aluminum with a light sandy textured matte finish and the base has the same finish but is made of a ferrous metal meaning it's magnetic so I'm assuming it's steel with some heft to it, (at just over 2 lbs), to prevent it from being knocked over easily by wind, people or critters. The bottom of the base is covered in a textured silicone or rubber non-slip coaster and works well on my smooth glass table. I have these on my covered patio and cast enough light, which isn't harsh on your eyes, on the brightest or dimmest settings and enough to cover a large 4 seat patio table. Wow, these lights exceeded my expectations immensely. The packaging was precise / protective, and the lights are much heavier than expected (very good quality). The lights work exactly as described, they remember the last state the light was in before it was turned off and return to the same state (brightness) when turned back on. I purchased this to replace a nightstand light that I recently broke and while I don’t view it as a nightstand light replacement (not great for reading a book) they are great for focused and/or the supplemental light needed for general functionality. For instance, I still use it on my night table because other than reading a book, it provides me the necessary light to do most everything else. My daughter borrowed the light to polish her nails and they were an ideal supplement for that purpose as the light is directed downwards. I recently used them to supplement a nighttime summer dinner outdoors and they were a perfect addition to the meal. I would recommend these lights for supplemental purposes (other than reading) as they are sturdy, effective and portable (no electrical plug necessary). I own a lot of these style lamps. They all more or less the same, which is great, because the design is amazing. I keep these charged up for when I lose power, a use they are perfect for. They provide a wonderful ambience in any use case, and the batteries last a LONG time.

These aren't quite as bright as I expected. They are great for ambient light but if you're using them to see better, they aren't quite bright enough to do the job. The quality is great and having 2 charging cords is incredibly helpful.

I was looking for smaller ones to use in different places in my home and camper. These lamps are great I have one next to my bed on a smaller table. I used them on our last camping trip. They are well made heavier than I expected which is a good thing. I don't have to worry about cords getting in the way. I have used them a number of hours and still haven't had to charge them.
