The old dome light in our bedroom died because the wiring was so old. We had to have a flush mount due to our ceilings being so low. There were only two requirements I wanted. 1.) A modern non-dome looking light and 2.) After researching, I wanted a light that used screw in light bulb. I had read multiple reviews and discussion boards where people installed light fixtures that used the LED panels, and some lights began to failed 6 months to a year. I really did not want to have to shut the power off, and replace the entire unit; when I can just replace a few bulbs. I didn't realize that it would be so hard to find a modern looking light fixture that still used screw in light bulbs. We went to the two (well known) home improvement stores and all they had were dome boob looking lights and a HUGE selection of LED panel lights. So, to Amazon we went and I found this light fixture!!! It is flush mount, modern looking, easy to install, and uses LIGHT BULBS. We put LED lights in and it is beautiful and bright! Additionally, this light has a glass cover! Some other lights I found on Amazon had cheap plastic covers, which you had to read carefully in the description of the product. Beautiful light fixture for bedrooms. I put a white one in one room and the darker one in my bedroom. They are plenty bright enough and great value for the money. Very easy to install.
